Your Mission
In Global Engineering & Expertise (GEE) department, our aim is to bring high
level of technical expertise - in several key engineering fields - to our
multi-technology customer projects tender & execution teams. Alongside with
worldwide recognized experts, Global Engineering Referents shall both deliver
complex design engineering activities in their field, as well as guarantee the
right level of technical knowledge in our various engineering teams across the
globe. To do that, they shall gather and animate a technical community in
their field for all the Engineering Centers of our organization: "Knowledge
Management" (KM) initiative.
Scope & Environment:
Design leader in a customer projects business environment who is passionate
about technical engineering, and who is willing to boost his/her technical
career and take-up a global position around his/her engineering field.
Your Role - Magic happens when you bring great people together!
* Secure complex customer projects technical scope (tenders & execution): participate in technical reviews (ex: specification reviews, design reviews, FAT preparation…), make specific complex sizing, manage complex queries or issues.
* Manage the Technical Referential (Method & Tools, Training material, new Schneider Electric Offer portfolio), and check and support on its good use by all the Engineering Centers of our organization. Ensure technological watch and incubate new Schneider Electric offers/solutions (intimacy with LoB, gathering evolution needs, etc.)
* Gather & Animate a technical community (KM, Lessons Learned, Best practices): manage, inform, train, share to the community.
* Support GCP Ops Technical Management: propose development plan, team assessment on technical knowledge, technical validation, regular communication, presentations…

**Qualifications

About You**
Education: University Msc/Bsc Electrical Engineering Degree
Experience: ‎10+ years of experience in design engineering and design leader
roles in a customer projects business environment
Skills requirements
Leadership & soft skills:
* Leadership: generate interest and trust, gather and animate people around a common topic, able to speak up, propose and take decisions.
* Ability to synthesize and to formalize
* Didactical & pedagogical skills; ability & willingness to transmit his/her knowledge
* Ability to work efficiently with multicultural team and in remote mode: flexibility & good English level is expected
* Strong Customer focus
Technical competencies (Technical Area: Medium Voltage)
* MV Schneider-Electric Offer Portfolio (MV Switchboard, Breakers & Switches, IEDs…)
* Definition & sizing of MV Switchboards and their inner components
* Selection and configuration of MV protection relays
* Implementation of local automation & control function such as ATS, Motor starting, inter-tripping schemes…
* Review Basic & detailed design: ability to read & comment electrical schematics and layouts
* MV network architectures, Earthing systems, protection coordination (basics)
* Sizing and protecting electrical sensors (CTs, VTs…)
* Defining, specifying and sizing MV Cables
* Interlocking systems (electrical and mechanical).
Language requirements:
* Fluent in English
* French language will be valuable
