The position

The post is Aswan based and is open for the people in Aswan.

BACKGROUND:
The Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) is an Egyptian non-profit organization
established in ‎1991 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social
Solidarity. OHF is the implementation agency for the Aga Khan Foundation,
Egypt and is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network and was founded
by Om Habibeh Sultan Mohammed Shah Aga Khan to contribute to and support local
communities in the governorate of Aswan in areas including healthcare,
education, and providing income for deprived communities through long-term
development activities. OHF works in the following areas: Continuing
Education, Civil Society, Agriculture, and Food Security, Economic Inclusion,
Women Empowerment, and Early Childhood Development.

In early ‎2022, Drosos Foundation approved the funding of "She Farms" project.
The project is managed and implemented by Om Habibeh Foundation in Aswan under
the Agriculture and Food Security Programme. The project will be implemented
in Daraw, Edfu, West Aswan, and Kom-Ombo communities. The project aims to
improve the economic livelihoods and nutrition in all of the above-mentioned
areas, by increasing women’s participation in agriculture production and value
chains and promoting the use of innovative farming techniques.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Field Officer is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring
the smooth implementation of the project and its operations, and activities
and adherence to logistic procedures. The Field Officer will report to the
Head of the Agriculture and Food Security Programme.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement project activities at the district and field level in accordance
with the approved work plan and budget.
Organize monthly meetings with women’s agriculture committees in coordination
with the Project Officer.
Facilitate to organize training, workshops, and seminars for women’s
agriculture committees.
Ensure proper documentation and sharing of all the appropriate documents with
the Programme Manager and field staff.
Coordinate with CSOs and other key stakeholders in planning and implementing
field-level activities in a coordinated way to ensure adequate program
synergies and to leverage resources.
Coordinate with local NGOs and other relevant networks for greater learning
and cross-fertilization of new ideas, lessons learned, and good practices.
Conduct routine monitoring activities and facilitating evaluations missions

The requirements

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
Holding a degree in Social Science, Agriculture, or any relevant discipline.
‎5 years’ experience in the field of development preferably through work with
an international organization.
At least ‎3 years previous field experience, ideally in a similar role.
Willingness to work outside of regular business hours.
Very good knowledge of English and Arabic Languages.
Very good communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional appearance and demeanour.
Respect for confidentiality of information.
