Child Safeguarding: Level 3: the role holder will have contact with
children and/or young people either frequently (e.g., once a week or more)
or intensively (e.g., four days in one month or more or overnight) because
they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because
they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process
staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:
Under the guidance of the health Senior officer, the field officer will be
responsible for the implementation of different components of a comprehensive
"Community mobilization and Health Promotion Program" targeting refugees and
host communities. S/he will have significant responsibilities for delivering
timely results and for coordination with governmental partner and community
stakeholders to ensure a coherent project model is established on the ground.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Health Senior Officer
Staff directly reporting to this post: 2 community health workers and
provide indirect support to 1 community coordinator & 3 health workers in
partner NGO.
Responsibilities
* Actively participate in project management cycle activities including needs assessment, project design, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
* Designing and implementing community reach out work plan and tracking all related expenditures; prepare financial forecast/ plans directly linked to community work plans.
* Support the senior officer in leading and overseeing high quality implementation of SC's Primary Health care Project for refugees and host communities in Greater Cairo to fulfil obligations to stakeholders at all levels;
* Coach and build the capacity of Greater Cairo community mobilization team as needed.
* Lead on SCI community-based COVID-19 response activities, including community-based surveillance, hygiene kits' distribution, etc
* Utilize the Performance Management System, define expectations of staff members, develop workplans and improvement plans as needed.
* Make regular field visits, and document such visits, to review field coordinators and support creation and strengthening of community-based structures and mechanisms needed for the process of social change, and to monitor project activities.
* Maintain direct contact with project team and target groups in project areas of operation.
* Actively participate in coordination meetings with different stakeholders.
* Develop sustainability mechanisms
* Develop monthly, quarterly and annual technical and financial reports as per the project donor's requirements.
* Ensure proper community data is collected, processed, protected and reported according to the work plan;
* Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to safeguarding policy, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
In case of Emergency:
* Promote children's rights, contributing to their well-being and protection in times of emergencies, guided by humanitarian principles and code of conduct.
* During emergencies, he/she should act in a way that facilitates SCI's response to emergencies, giving priority to all assigned.
* Be prepared to support SCI interventions in response to emergencies and show needed flexibility
Reporting and documentation
* Produce accurate quantitative and qualitative reports on regular basis as per the project's monitoring and evaluation plans
* Draft concise case studies, and other documents as needed on a monthly and quarterly basis and as requested by SC, donors and other stakeholders.
* Regular reporting to the Senior Officer with projects updates.
* Organize and maintain project filling system (electronic and paper records).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Educational Background:
* Relevant university degree, public health field is preferred
Essential :
* Minimum of 3 years working experience including successful experience working in health education or promotion with a reputed organization or NGO
* Previous experience in outreach activities & leading a team is a must.
* Previous experience in working with refugees/ marginalized communities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to work effectively within a team and/or individually
* Well organised with strong time-management skills
* results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets.
* Excellent analytical and creative abilities with strong results orientation;
* Very good computer skills.
* Shares Save the Children's vision and values
Language:
* Proficiency in Arabic and English, written and spoken is a must.
