Job Description Summary:
Team GDIT is seeking an Operations Specialist Lead in support of the IBD-SS
program 's sustainment of systems in the SWA area of operations. The Team Lead
will be engaged, responsible to report and proactive in engaging overall day-
to-day functioning of situational awareness of all personnel and program
equipment status and emerging requirements. The Lead will be work under
direction from GDIT Leadership combined with directions coming directly from
PM FPS Management. The site lead will work with the IBD-SS Site Lead and
Theater Director to execute missions for all IBD-SS supported systems.
Candidate should be experienced in communicating with military officers, upper
management, and always demonstrate effective communication, professionalism,
problem-solving skills, and leadership. This position desires an individual
who has previous experience on a variety of systems belonging to the PM FPS
family of systems to include BETSS-C, RDISSv5, IBD-K, ECP, JCAD and more.
Primary Duties:
* Retrieve and relay operations messages, e-mails, ONS, and other official instructions to Site Leads for execution
* Communicates requirement updates to the COR
* Attend daily meetings and arrange demonstrations of the system and program to VIPs and visitor
* Provide direct support actions such as gathering data and distributing ONS, provided operational support, perform coordination between units and contractor
* Facilitates PAX travel and logistics to PM TS/Operations team Responsible for developing and tracking direct reports daily and monthly
* Prepared to travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas if required
* Interacts and professionally exhibits customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers
* Works in extreme environment and must be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment
* Possesses a valid US passport
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations
Desired Qualifications :
* Must be a team player with effective oral and written communication skills.
* Willing and able to work on team projects and independently.
* Relevant and recent experience supporting other Force Protection Systems is highly desirable
* Working knowledge of on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems to include BETSS-C, RDISSv5, PTP radio, television and other communications & surveillance equipment components
* Experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS) SIPR, NIPR
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
* Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail
Education Required:
* Senior Level: BA/BS + ‎8-‎12 yrs. experience (‎15 years of experience in lieu of a degree)
Security Clearance:
* Must have a US Secret security clearance (Day One)
