Retail Architect F/M

In the Fragrance and Beauty division, your role will be to design, plan and
construct Fragrance & Beauty points of sale in the Middle East and India
region for the local market, Retail and Travel retail.
You will work closely with the market teams to ensure that the project
constructions are in alignment with the design global direction and brand
identity. The Retail Architect aim to create a positive consumer experience in
retail spaces by designing and implementing an appealing environment that
consumers want to visit and return to.
Main Activities:
Planning
* Support the markets in location and size negotiation by providing design simulation and cost estimation
* Work closely with VM/Marketing and Commercial team to thoroughly understand each project's characteristics and market's expectations
* Identify /develop tools to improve consistency, quality and efficiency of the design and production in terms of creativity and detailing.
* Review and approve BOQ provided by suppliers, consultants and contractors and keep budget track
Design & Concept
* Development of preliminary design concepts through drawings, specifications, sketches, renderings for department stores POS as well as SIS and stand-alone stores (with Global approval), including Concepts, Designs, Cost/Budget and approval process
* Planning an architectural space that maximize the VM strategies, that has a unique visual impact and suits the functional requirements specific to each country
* Handle all projects with highest creativity and quality, in a cost efficient way and in a timely manner
* Participate in job-site coordination meetings and design team meetings.
* In collaboration with the suppliers and/or external agencies, prepare, review and approve construction drawing packages and support local markets' in cost estimates and value engineering.
Management
* End-to-end project management for SAB
* Supervise projects from design through to completion with sign off responsibility for each step
* Coordinate with the different teams to achieve effective cooperation and smooth collaboration. Ensure all work is completed within the set deadlines, as per agreed deliverables and within the approved budgets.
* Prepare cost estimation
* Coordinate design and production information with team members, consultants, suppliers and contractors. Assist and support Site Inspectors and Engineers in the execution of their services as required.
* Maintain regular and open communications with senior management. Provide complete visibility and status of current projects, including contracts and sub consultant agreements. Escalate issues as necessary.
* Monitor the project on a regular basis to ensure compliance with schedule, budget, quality and contractual obligations.
* Attend construction meetings and prepares field reports, answers RFI's and manage change of design requests
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following professional
background:
You have an Architecture degree and a minimum of ‎5 years in a similar role.
Your strong organization and communication skills will be key to succeed in
this position.
You have strong project development and management knowledge. And You are able
to work under pressure.
You are recognized for your proactivity, creativity and problem solving.
You are at ease with Excel, Office package, Adobe package. You are proficient
with AutoCAD and Sketch up.
You are at ease with project management software (Microsoft Project or
similar).
