The purpose is to recruit a Business Development Manager in charge of covering
EGA and Sohar Aluminium smelters. The Business Development Manager is
responsible for improving and growing the business by fostering and developing
relationships with smelters. The work will often reach across all areas of the
smelter (Reduction, Carbon, Procurement, Engineering, training, ..)

The Business Development Manager role is to define, promote and build
pipelines of opportunities leading the business for more growth, he must be
able to present new technical solutions and promote Fives products to the
customers based on customer needs.
This role is primarily intended to develop the SOLIOS product line, but will
also encompass all other Fives Aluminium product line.

Accountabilities:
* Developing the Business (‎50%)
Identify new business opportunities - including new products, solutions, and
services.
Understand the needs of the customer and respond effectively with a plan of
how to meet these needs.
Help the customer identifying their priorities and where to focus and orient
the budgets based on considering current operational conditions and technical
pain.
Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and
objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
Visit frequently and travel for a face-to-face meetings with end users and
other business partners to assess the company relationship with them and
discuss their evolving operational challenges.
Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies to capture the
business.
Identify the competitors for each customer, their strength and weak points and
react considering these inputs
Plan the yearly business budget based on assessment of the customer needs

Produce quotations (‎20%)
Receive tenders and RFQ specifications, request/attend site visits and clearly
define the scope of work.
Monitor and Respect the tenders deadlines.
Assess the bid GO/NO GO based on company interest and strategy.
Communicate with Fives back office in France to request engineering and/or
material quotations.
Draft the technical and commercial proposals and review them with operation
department and consider their concerns, review the commercial offer with VP
sales and Strategy for approval.
Produce successful, high quality quotations and proposals and follow up the
evaluation process until order placement.
Support spare parts business opportunities and growth.

Deliver to Operation (‎10%)
Ensure budgeted time/resources and material are matching with operation
capacities and expectations.
Handover the technical, costing and other commercial documents to the
operation team explaining the background and details of the project.
Ensure the operation department understand the customer expectations

Participate in events (‎20%)

Education and Experiences

Education:
* Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree/diploma (Essential, need to have a mechanical and electrical technical understanding)
* Prior experience in technical/commercial (Essential)
* Computer literate (Essential)
* Experience with Fives Solios equipment (Essential)
* Must speak English (Essential)

Experience:
* Have previous technical and commercial role
* Planning and organizing
* Minimum ‎8 years' experience in smelter environment
* excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
