Duties


The incumbent works closely with the Supervisory General Services Officer
(GSO) and the Assistant GSO assigned to manage the Housing portfolio to ensure
that all residences conform to Department of State standards as set out in ‎15
FAM. Duties typically include conducting inspections of available housing to
ensure the house is in good condition and suitable before arrival and
departure of occupants; processing appropriate inspection reports and forms;
assisting with appropriate furnishings and/or equipment; carrying out
administrative responsibilities that include keeping the Real Property
Application (RPA) up to date and producing the required quarterly reports for
Single Real Property Management approval. Coordinates house makeready and
inspects residences, maintains makeready schedules and occupancy charts.
Communicates with new occupants regarding furniture placement preferences
prior to employee's arrival at post. Provides support to the GSO sections by
acting as a one-stop management service support by following through all GSO
submitted Myservices to final execution. This coordination role requires
excellent management skills and constant communication and coordination with
several offices within the U.S. Mission as well as with incoming and outgoing
embassy staff occupying the residences.


Qualifications and Evaluations


Requirements:
Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE
residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE nationals, the Mission
assists in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE.
Refer to Eligibility Question #‎2 and Vacancy Question #‎1: If a non-UAE
national has a valid UAE residency visa, they should answer Yes to Eligibility
Q#‎2 and Vacancy Q#‎1 and attach a copy of residency visa.


EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in a customer service atmosphere that
includes managing logistics in a real estate, or a customer-oriented business
is required.


Education Requirements:
Must have completed at least two years of college or university studies after
secondary school.

Level IV - Fluent (reading, speaking and writing) English is required.
