Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Performs functions associated with the acquisition, manufacture, testing,
delivery, receipt, storage, custody and issuance of required materials to be
used in construction.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Possesses extensive knowledge on concrete mix design and batching plants calibration/operation.
* Holds competent knowledge on asphalt mix design and batching plants calibration/operation.
* Relevant experience with buildings' materials selection, including but not limited to; doors, windows, paints, flooring, roof waterproofing systems, electrical, plumbing and sanitary installations.
* Have full awareness of testing requirements.
* Check material submissions and properly process approvals.
* Visit factories to ensure proper manufacture and testing of materials produced.
* Ensure materials delivered are as approved and are properly stored.
* Assist in the development of testing procedures.
* Keep up-to-date with new appropriate materials.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* 10+ years of materials experience, ideally within the UAE.
* Dubai experience is preferable.
