Job brief:
A well-known leading organization in Kuwait is urgently looking for a highly
qualified
Legal Manager
to join the legal team to oversee the legal aspects of business.
The successful candidate will the legal team in order to safeguard the company
reputation by developing and designing the rules for guaranteeing that the
company strictly follows law guidelines and provide expert and professional
legal advices, solutions and recommendations on legal aspects, as well as
organizing and managing the activities of the Legal Department, to ensure
legal conformity of all the business operations of the company in line with
the local and international regulations, and will be effectively responsible
for minimizing the probability of exposure.
Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and mentoring the legal counsels’ team and present consolidated
and professional reports to the VP Legal Executive.

Prepare and Propose development plans for the department’s work and
individuals.
-
Give accurate and timely counsel in a variety of legal topics (labor law,
partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, international
arbitration etc.).

Propose, draft and review internal policies & preventive law and compliance
policies to reduce company exposure to legal risk.

Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and
operations.

Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on
possible legal issues.

Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel,
public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.

Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure
the company's full legal rights.

Review company contracts and consult with external law firms in order to
obtain legal advice where necessary.

Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
Requirements and skills:
-
Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in a business environment (12+ Years of
similar experience).

Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a
corporation.

Outstanding communication skills.

BA degree in Law degree from a recognized university (English section is
preferred).
