Job Description:


Reports to: the System Administrator
He/she will report to the System Administrator. The Help Desk support person
is the officer in charge of performing hardware and software installation,
providing on-the-job training to new department staff members, providing
computer orientation to new company staff.
His/her main responsibilities are:
‎1. Answer staff questions in person and via phone on all company supported
applications.
‎2. Troubleshoot computer problems.
‎3. Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access,
etc.).
‎4. Advise staff on appropriate action.
‎5. Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve
issues.
‎6. Work one-on-one with staff on application projects.
‎7. Provide recommendations on company application purchases.
‎8. Document resolutions for future reference.


Job Requirements:



  • ‎1-‎2 years experience in IT.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and their functionality.

  • Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows XP, and Vista.

  • Advanced Knowledge and troubleshooting of office application.

  • Working knowledge of implementation of LANs.

  • Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly.

  • Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.

  • Self driven and able to work under high pressure, as well as be willing to devote as much hours/days as the work demands.
