Senior Service Delivery Engineer

What you'll achieve
Responsible for translating the client's business requirements into specific
systems, applications and/or process designs for custom technical solutions.
Designs, develops and implements total systems solutions to the enterprise-
wide technical requirements of customers. The task requires integrating
hardware, processes, methodologies and software within the customer
environment. Participates with the customer in the strategic design process
and translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Balances the
needs of sales and delivery to design a solution that meets or exceeds the
requirements of service delivery.
You will:
* Design and development of technical content defined in the Statement of Work, and Level of Efforts.
* Prepares technical architectural and implementation design documents and works with internal team and customers to develop the Implementation plan.
* Helps to identify and leverage DELL EMC and Partner Resources in order to satisfy the technical needs and objectives of the implementation.
* Contributes to the development of strategies, policies and best practices through participation in management meetings and other direct contributions. Develops and cultivates strong customer relationships ensuring a ''Customers for Life'' relationship.
* Adheres to proper escalation and change control procedures, Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.
* Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of DELL EMC and industry products and solutions through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
* Supports the installation, customization, and integration of the solution.
* Participates, as needed, as a technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered in the engagement.
* May be responsible for the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements.
* Participates in requirements gathering for project engagements.
* Leads project quality assurance activities, including performing technical QA reviews on components for a team and performing QA reviews of code documentation.
* Comfortable to travel.
* Strong understanding of disciplined IT infrastructure operational methodologies (processes and procedures, availability management, change management, capacity and performance management, life cycle and maintenance strategies, problem identification, issues correlation, root cause analysis, gap analysis, assessments, remediation planning) is required in this role to drive maximum value.
* Provides assistance to DELL EMC technical teams in the development of custom solutions and implementation preparation.
* Contributes to the development of strategies, policies and best practices through participation in management meetings and other direct contributions. Develops and cultivates strong customer relationships ensuring a ''Customers for Life'' relationship.

Here's what we are looking for with this role:
Essential Requirements
* Hands on experience with DELL EMC and/or Vendor storage and host base technologies
* Demonstrated Knowledge in Host-based Migrations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies including SNMP, IP.
* Enterprise Class Storage Area Networking experience (FiberChannel Directors and Switches, zoning, multipathing, etc)
* Knowledge of Linux, and/or UNIX system administration concepts including network administration (NTFS/CIFS/NFS).
* Fiber Channel SAN Experience (using Cisco/Brocade solutions)
* Experience working autonomously and prioritizing multiple competing priorities.
* A demonstrated positive and proactive approach.
* Has an experience to engage in discussions about technical subjects and confidently deliver technical presentation to a wide array of audiences with both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
* Can influence others to achieve results.
* Fluency in English.
* Experience with one or more of the below technologies:
* Avamar, Networker, Data Domain
* File storage, Powerscale, ECS/Object Storage, File Migrations
* DELL EMC Storage solutions: Powermax/VMAX3/VMAX, Unity, Powerstore, VPLEX, RecoverPoint etc.
* Implementation skills in SAN , CISCO/Brocade SAN Fabrics implementation, ISL, NPIV, Port Channeling/trunking and zoning
* VxRail, VSAN, Networking
Desirable Requirements
* Pre-sales experience
* Experience with virtualization technologies
* Bachelors' Degree
Experience with one or more of the below technologies:
* PPDM or CRS
* DataDobi for Migrations
* Superna
* Design and implementation of Data Migrations within DELL EMC and Non DELL EMC Storage hardware.
