Our company is looking to hire an office manager to be responsible for the
general operation of our office.
Records information and answer questions for employees; Researches information
about absences or job performance; Updates the appropriate forms, including
Notice of Personnel Action, when changes in employment occur. (For example, an
employee receives a promotion or adds a family member);Prepares reports for
the Director; Perform a variety of other clerical duties, including answering
telephone calls or letters; Sends out announcements of job openings or job
examinations; Prepares verification of a person's employment for authorized
signature; Provides authorized information from the employee's personnel
records; Contacts payroll departments and other government agencies to verify
changes to records; Explains the Department employment policies; Requests
references from present or past employers; Informs job applicants by
telephone, letter, or e-mail, of their employment application status; Utilizes
a variety of computer programs / software to enhance efficiency and meet goals
and objectives; Attends meetings and conferences; Performs other duties as
required or assigned.
To be a successful hire, you will need to have prior experience in office
administration. You will also need to be proficient in Microsoft Office
applications such as Word and Excel. A bachelor's degree is required.


Responsibilities for Office Manager
* Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly
* Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
* Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors, and answer and direct phone calls
* Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
* Develop office policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately
* Assist with office layout planning and office moves, and with managing and maintaining IT infrastructure
* Manage office budget
* Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems
* Provide other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, and creating reports
Qualifications for Office Manager
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field
* ‎5-‎8 years of work experience in an administrative/office management role
* Must have exceptional attention to detail
* Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
* Must be a self-starter and driven
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google products
