A Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing operations of all Food
and Beverage outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while
training staff and working within budgeted guidelines.
What will I be doing?
As a Food and Beverage Manager, you are responsible for managing operations of
all Food and Beverage outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member
experience. A Food and Beverage Manager will also be required to manage,
train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to
the highest standards:
* Manage all Food and Beverage Outlet operations
* Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
* Ensure compliance of brand standards
* Recruit, manage, train and develop the Food and Beverage team
* Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
* Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food, Liquor Costs and Payroll
* Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
* Develop menus with other members of Food and Beverage team
* Accountable for monthly stock takes
* Incentivise team members to maximize sales and revenue
* Carry out annual and mid-year appraisals with Managers under your responsibility
* Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
* Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
* Be environmentally aware
* Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
* Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
What are we looking for?
A Food and Beverage Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf
of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this
role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that
follow:
1. Must have entrepreneurial skillset
2. Needs to drive the marketing of all F &B with the support of the
commercial team.
3. The person in his capacity would need to ensure a "perfect host"
Environment to all the F&B guests.
4. This person will need to be fully aware of the F&B market in Sharjah, the
competitive set and benchmark concepts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
5. Visually inspects and takes corrective action to ensure that all
facilities in the restaurant looks appealing and attractive to guests.
6. Responsible for evaluating, responding to and taking necessary action
regarding guest comments relating to F&B operations of the hotel with timely
resolution of challenges guest have faces with the highest level of
professionalism.
7. Should have a good knowledge about creating and implementing, promotions,
packages to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
8. Responsible in being Collaborative with all hotel departments to achieve
an overall hotel goal.
9. Responsible for the set-up of the restaurant in accordance with Hilton
standards of performance. To have good knowledge of the departmental
objectives and come up with ideas and implementation on how to achieve them.
10. Develop Dishes with the Executive chef in all restaurants and banqueting
of the hotel.
11. To be able to understand and explain all financial report related to the
department. To have a good knowledge of business level at all times
12. To control all cashiering practices and to proceed to regular check on
micros, during serving period, controlling item postings, covers, discounts.
13. Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory and proper condition of
equipment and operating supplies. To ensure that par stock levels are
correctly maintained and requisitions are completed to the set standard.
14. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of department
operating and storage areas.
15. Responsible for initiating, developing and implementing operating
standards designed to improve department's performance.
16. To maximize revenue through sales and increase average check through up-
selling training and motivational techniques. To be fully aware of the hotel's
licensing, fire and health and safety regulations, and to ensure that all team
members are fully trained.
17. Must have worked in the UAE previously in similar position
18. Must have a track record in upmarket casual positioning of restaurants
19. To carry out spot checks on staff on food and beverage, daily specials
and promotions within the hotel. To attend Food and Beverage and various other
meetings.
20. Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations and preparation techniques.
Knowledge of beverage operations and maintain an effective beverage cost.
21. Strong mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory,
controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statements.
22. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately
complex computer system. To assign areas of responsibility to each individual
throughout service.
23. To organize team members breaks following business level controlling
time. To check standards of team members on personal hygiene and grooming.
24. Able to manage operations of hotel lounge and room service.
25. Focus on revenue generation with proactive sale of F&B offerings.
26. Train, coach, mentor, guide F&B talent in creating a succession plan for
the department.
27. Must be fluent in Arabic and English
28. Knowledge of Levantine cuisine.
