JOB SUMMARY


Manager - Finance


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Operational and Management Responsibilities:
* Planning, directing and controlling the financial, personnel and administrative functions of the Finance Department; managing the Budgeting process.
* Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting; Pricing and Cost Management, Resource Management, developing and implementing effective Internal Controls; monitoring the payroll process;
* Material Management; System Accounting, Internal and External Audit attendance, ensuring that the Accounting and Financial Reporting complies with the International Accounting Standards and Regulatory requirements of the local Government.


Other Administrative Responsibilities:
* Manage the Finance team, conducts staff performance appraisals and meets the Departmental KPIs as set out in the Accountability Charter.
* Participate in the Hospital's Quality Improvement Programs and forums to enhance the Quality standards of the performance of the Department.
* Ensure that the personnel training and education of the staff.
* Provide on-going training and development to the subordinate staff.
* Maintain the professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations
* Perform any other Finance related duties, which may be assigned by the Hospital Management from time to time


JOB REQUIREMENTS* *


Education :
Graduation or Post Graduation in Finance/Accounting from an accredited
university. Chartered Accountant (CA), Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)


Experience :
‎10 years' financial & accounting and management experience, including ‎5 years
in a Hospital setting. Experience with Accreditation Surveys (JCIA or CCHFA)
and working in the GCC/Middle East is an advantage


Knowledge :
Work requires a technical understanding of financial and budgeting procedures
used in a healthcare environment. In addition, skills in accounting, data
processing and the like as acquired through two to three years related
experience


Managerial Skills :
Leadership, Negotiation, Strategic Thinking, Problem Solving, Organizing,
Prioritizing and Delegating Skills; Detail Oriented; Team Player


Other Skills



  • High level of analytical skills to prepare statistical and financial analyses for a variety of users. Must process strong attention to detail and able to analyze financial and statistical data and recommend solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact and exchange information regularly with diverse groups of people within and outside of NMH.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with financial and administrative staff to ensure services and interactions are accurate.
    Ability to work independently and in a team setting and meet aggressive time
    frames; manage multiple projects simultaneously; and prepare oral and/or
    written presentations as required
