POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of this position is to further develop improve and sustain broad
Finance function scope activities for H.B. Fuller Business in Egypt and the
Middle East to support the profitable growth of the business and organization.
The key scope areas being:
‎1. Financial controlling: including accounting, financial reporting (fiscal &
HB Fuller internal), compliance/SOX, tax, treasury and risk management
‎2. Finance Business Partnering: including budgeting, forecasting, financial
analysis/reporting, pricing management, working capital and fixed capital
management and business performance optimization
A key objective of this role is also to facilitate management's ability to
optimize business results by reporting, planning, forecasting, monitoring and
analyzing financial trends and performance metrics and implementing the
enabling business processes. This position is responsible to directly support
the development of business strategy, performance improvement recommendations
and drive execution of action and initiatives, as necessary.
The Finance Manager is responsible and accountable for the content and
accuracy of the financial ledgers and statements for the country by acting as
the Financial Controller for US and local GAAP. This includes all areas of
accounting (business and statutory) and compliance including AR, AP, asset
accounting, payroll as well as VAT and Tax matters. He/she is also responsible
for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of financial
processes, systems and internal controls (eg SOX). The position requires close
coordination with other H.B. Fuller functions in EIMEA, in Corporate and
external service providers.
The role reports to the Finance Director IMEA, with a secondary reporting
lines to the Business Director for Egypt, Middle East, and India
.
PRIMARY DUTIES
‎30% - Financial controlling: Develop and manage accounting, reporting,
compliance and control activities
* Ensure that the monthly and quarterly reporting requirements (both HB Fuller and Fiscal) are met and that accounting processes are in line with HB Fuller policies and local laws and regulations.
* Manage, implement and maintain the control system and SOX processes according the HB Fuller policies and local requirements
* Ensure all transaction processes are effective, robust, efficient and compliant, leveraging best practice processes, tools and systems. Spanning all key processes ATR, AP, Credit & AR, direct and indirect taxes
* Ensure stakeholders and business colleagues understand and execute their control and compliance responsibilities
* Monitor and implement an early warning system for deviations in GL balances beyond reasonable limits
‎35% - Finance Business Partnering: Support profitable business growth through
decision support, financial planning & analysis
* Participate actively in the Egypt & Middle East Management team and IMEA Finance Leadership. Provide risk management awareness and drive a performance improvement mindset with the internal stakeholders.
* Support to business development activities, to ensure focus on driving long term value for HB Fuller and optimal use of our assets (capital, working capital, resources etc). Drive timely, controlled execution. This includes sales growth, supply chain and other business/investment initiatives
* Establish and sustain forecasting, budgeting and performance management processes to ensure the timely/accurate preparation of quarterly analytics and management reports/forecasts.
* Implement and sustain business processes, systems and tools that improve decision making, compliance, transparency and control in the business
* Decision support: ensure capex drives productivity, lead business case development and profitability analysis for new capital projects, ensuring compliant approvals and aligning to budgets/forecasts
* Oversee and control capital investment, in line with approved capital projects and budgets
‎20% - Tax, Treasury and Risk Management
* Ensure effective local direct and indirect tax and treasury processes and associated compliance
* Coordinate insurance, pension and all other legal entity including relevant admin matters with appropriate HB Fuller functions as well as local fiscal authorities
* Effectively manage compliance with US and local tax matters in close cooperation with corporate / regional tax team
* Sponsor, develop and ensure effective risk management processes and systems
‎15% - Organizational and team development
* Develop and ensure an effective Finance team in Egypt
* Discuss and establish roles and responsibilities for local staff and counterparts in other functions and Finance shared services
* Discuss and establish annual personal objectives for staff. Complete interim and annual performance reviews and development plans based upon direct reports execution of their responsibilities and progress against established personal objectives.

Direct reports ‎3 to ‎8 based in Cairo
Potentially one direct report in Dubai
BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Primary accountability:
* ‎2022 Sales to exceeded USD ‎45 million with strong growth rates
* Oversight of Manufacturing and Commercial Operations in Egypt (primarily Cairo based) and Dubai
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Fluency in English and Arabic
* Degree in Accounting or Finance or recognized accounting/finance qualification.
* Minimum ‎7 to ‎10 years of broad financial control (Accounting, Reporting and Business Partnering) experience in a multinational company.
* Strong knowledge of accounting, compliance, financial analysis and commercial finance concepts
* Experience in managing and developing a team of finance professionals
* Sound general business knowledge and decision making skills. Experience in working close to Commercial and Operations Teams (within Egypt and overseas)
* Highly motivated and self-directed. Hands on individual with pragmatic approach to challenges
* Team player with willingness to be held and hold others accountable for their commitments.
* Strong communication skills, able to influence colleagues with clear concise analysis and recommendations, and to synthesize complex thinking processes
* Ready and able to travel, and work effectively with different cultures
* IT literate. Experienced user of MS office package
* Experience in Tax, Treasury, FX, VAT, duties, fiscal and tax law and general administrative matters
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Fluency in other languages
* Working knowledge or expertise in US GAAP, SOX, Treasury & Tax
* Experience in business development and investment appraisal in a growing innovative business
* Expertise in Pricing and FX Management
* Project management experience including ERP, SAP and systems implementation
* MBA and CMA/CPA certification.
