JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the
Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment,
support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi
Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel
safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and
weapons.

This role is primarily responsible to the Para / Fab Maintenance Supervisor.
The main objective is to support the flying programme at KFAA by ensuring the
efficient accomplishment of OAT Training aircraft maintenance activities for
scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all Para / Fabrication
responsibilities, and that work is carried out in a managed and controlled
manner and in accordance with all applicable technical data. Performs
inspection, repair and fabrication of fabfir and rubber equipment such as
protective clothing, upholstery, aircraft thermal radiation barriers,
protective covers and floatation equipment: supervises assembly, inspection,
reapair and packing of deceleration, cargo and aerial delivery and personal
parachutes and survival kits.
Achievement of this primary goal is realised through the effective direction &
motivation of the technician from the Para / Fab Maintenance Supervisor and
through good, effective liason with other departments. Provides On the Job
Training (OJT) function and task certification
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
* To carry out maintenance on all OAT Parachute, Harness assemblies at KFAA Riyadh. Responsible for the management and control of section maintenance tasks and assigned manpower, to ensure the efficient completion of scheduled, non-scheduled, aircraft maintenance and section support tasks.
* Responsible for supporting Flying Operations, ensuring the shift organization can meet task requirements and for maintaining close liaison with maintenance Operations Control, Quality Department and Intermediate Maintenance to prioritise and progress aircraft work.
* To provide technical specialty support in the evaluation, interpretation, determinations of requisite corrective actions, performance and operational status of specialty specific aircraft systems and components.
* To provide informal and formal On the Job Training (OJT) for all personnel to enable either RSAF or civilian Saudisation of Intermediate Maintenance operations.
* Able to acquire user expertise and become conversant with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer system -MIRO Gold.
* Able to understand and comply with the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
* Graduate of a military service, or recognised civilian organisation, aircraft technical training institute.
* Must have extensive proven post-graduation Para / Fab or AEA Maintenance experience and have graduated from the Royal Saudi Air Force recognised technical training provided by BAE Systems or other recognised civilian or military organisation.
* Have completed appropriate Aircraft Systems specific Training course and completed suitable OJT qualification.
* Hold certification privileges for Maintenance Red X release.
* Civilian aircraft engineering support organisations that maintain civilian and/or military fast jet aircraft.
Desirable
* RSAF recognised Technical Training Schemes.
