JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the
Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment,
support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi
Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel
safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and
weapons.

thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.
The Job Holder has responsibility for undertaking all fault diagnosis and
rectification activities associated with the scheduled and unscheduled
servicing of all Typhoon Life Support Equipment.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Conduct scheduled unscheduled repair and maintenance of Typhoon Life Support equipment in accordance with approved technical data and procedures.
* Support the Saudisation process through the OJT and consolidation training of assigned RSAF technicians and TySNs
* Support the company SHE policy through best practice within the work centre.
* Adherence to approved maintenance data and highlighting any anomalies when they arise.
* Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line management.
* Deputising for the Supervisor during periods of leave/absence to ensure shop capability is not compromised.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
* Must be educated to HNC level or recognised equivalent or have experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.
* Must have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification in military Life Support equipment branch. ( Typhoon Preferable )
* Extensive proven experience in Life Support equipment maintenance gained in a modern military fast jet aircraft environment. ( Typhoon Preferable )
* Familiarity of the tasks undertaken within a busy operational squadron Life Support Shop and the associated workshops.
Desirable
* Considerable aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
* An understanding of RAF and/or RSAF engineering procedures.
* Experience within an aerospace mechanical or ground mechanical trade.
RECRUITMENT
The post holder should have the following background:
* Ex-military with experience serving on an operational military flying unit.
* Must have attained experience at technician level working in a military aircraft maintenance environment.
* Thorough working knowledge of aircraft Life Support equipment.
* Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
* The ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job.
* A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail is also required.
* A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
* Previous experience of conducting On-The-Job training.
