Job description

The Contract Manager supports the project executives, leaders and project
managers in the contract formation and monitoring as well as controlling the
performance of contracted services to ensure services are effective, meet
statutory requirements and deliver the desired outcomes.

Coordinating on all matters concerning contract administration, claims,
disputes, contract interpretation and cost analysis.
* Developing, implementing and managing systems and procedures for the monitoring of external and internal contracts to ensure that contractual compliance issues are resolved timely & effectively.
* Recommending on construction contract procurement and types of underlying contracts and agreements.
* Driving continuous improvement of commercial processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems and procedures.
* Identifying potential claims, checking for compliance with applicable contractual terms and ensuring effective negotiation and settlement of claims.
* Preparing claims to negotiate with contractors, including the calculation of losses incurred through defaults on contractual obligations and formulate suggestions to remedy failure to meet contractual obligations.
* Taking responsibility for all financial contract management activities including the reviewing and the approving of payment certificates, invoicing from subcontractors and to the client.
* Maintaining a clear picture of out-turn cost in accordance with standard framework, by ensuring monthly cost reports fully and accurately reflecting all contracts change, risks, opportunities, variation orders and reporting it to senior client level.
* Providing the client / project director with a comprehensive picture of budget, commitment and payment at all times.
* Providing the foundations for driving performance of contractors and the supply chain generally.
* Identifying actions by client / project director which potentially undermine the client's commercial position under the contract or are detrimental to delivery within agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
* Reviewing/updating/maintaining central commercial trackers (payment, contract information tracker, etc.).
* Assessing the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
* Providing the needed expertise and technique in cost control and contract management and coordinates project estimation efforts.
* Managing a team of experienced Contract Administration staff.
* Drafting contracts (including but not limited to Sub-consultancy Agreements, Consultancy Agreement, Freelance Agreements and Prime PMC Agreements) to support Egis business and project requirements.

Profile

• Significant experience with quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration and/or management


• Strong background in variations, changes orders, and Contract administration


• On-site Construction Supervision experience


• Experience of developing successful relationships at a senior level


• Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills


• Strong written and oral English communication skills
