Facilitates effective communication among multiple departments to execute
pricing and service activities for customers in line with regional and global
strategy of STC. Identifies, maintains and develops customer relationships by
developing appropriate activities. In addition, ensures that all activities
are consistently executed within STC's existing Quality Management System
(ISO9001: 2008).
Specific accountabilities
* Supports sales manager during visits and calls & services customers; expected to be outside, visiting customers/ prospects approx. 50% of the time.
* Establishes, develops and maintains the customer relationship and tracks and follows up on these activities via the CRM tool.
* Evaluates leads and qualifies opportunities leading to quote-to-booking conversion
* Actively responds / follows up on any customer complaints / issues
* Responsible for continuously updating the STC Forecasting system for any customers under his/her control in Webhub.
* Qualify leads and opportunities to Win/Loss in CRM and if known capture Market price, Competitor and Loss reasons.
Research
* Actively researches (external) sources for developing current customers or creating prospective customers and keeping up to date with the industry, market conditions and competitors and distributes this intelligence among the commercial and sales team.
* Communicates actively and regularly with others within STC on market pricing issues, commercial approach and policies.
Support:
* Contributes actively to the improvement of STC's commercial activities by being involved in the commercial team meetings, sharing ideas, concepts of improvements to systems or methods.
* Provides assistance to the management with projects when necessary.
Requirements:
* College/ University degree preferred or suitable industry experience
* General background knowledge of forwarding and shipping industry
* B2B customer service/ inside sales experience is a plus
* Experience in operations is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
* Excellent team player.
* Goal oriented and Commercial aptitude
* Able to critically analyze research for opportunities; be pro-active
* Problem solving skills and a healthy dose of common sense, able to multitask effectively
* Must be ethical, well organized and able to prioritize
* Business proficiency level in English and (local language) is required, fluency in (2nd language) is a plus.
