Position Summary:
The warehouse helper's responsibilities include but not limited to managing
warehouse storage space, removing warehouse trash on a regular basis, should
be knowledgeable of standard warehouse practices and be able to lift or move
heavy objects and be able to use in-house lifting equipment like overhead
crane, pallet jack etc. in a safe manner.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assisting in receiving incoming material and verifying that they are
undamaged.
Packing – Unpacking and counting received items.
Assisting warehouse staff in retrieving material from indoor-outdoor storage.
Preparing material/equipment for delivery or shipping by packaging and
labeling them accordingly.
Moving all material/shipments to the delivery area.
Ensuring that all merchandise is properly secured in the delivery vehicles to
prevent damage during transit.
Utilizing in-house lifting equipment to load and unload material as well as
move, lift, or stack material as needed.
Organizing warehouse material/equipment and stacking them on shelves and racks
in accordance with company guidelines.
Performing all duties necessary to maintain warehouse cleanliness, which
includes cleaning and dusting as needed.
A forklift license. (will be an advantage but not mandatory).
