Job Description
The role
Fugro are looking to recruit a QHSSE Advisor to join our QHSSE team based in
Saudi Arabia. This is a pivotal role assisting the QHSSE Manager in ensuring
the QHSSE risks in the business are known and managed to ALARP (as low as
reasonably practicable). Providing specialist knowledge to the business, you
will deliver day to day QHSSE advice and give active assistance to operations,
departments, projects, and vessels, ensuring good standards and practices are
identified, developed, implemented, and adhered to.
This job is for you if:
* You have significant Health and Safety experience.
* You have a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* You have a IEMA (Associate) or equivalent Environmental qualification.
* You are proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Who you'll be working with:
Working with the Country QHSSE Manager and QHSSE teams, departmental and
operational management teams and personnel. You will be liaising with local
authorities and agencies as well as suppliers as required. You will also be
liaising with clients on particular projects.
Here's what a typical day would be like:
* Report to the QHSSE Manager and deputise for the QHSSE Manager as and when necessary.
* Act as Point of Contact in HSE matters for the departments and their operations managed out of the Portchester site.
* Provide QHSSE support to projects.
* Present training sessions in relevant QHSSE topics and company policies.
* Provide advice and support to project managers and operatives in the Portchester operations.
* Support project management with the development/review of project documentation and client interface.
* Support line management to investigate incidents and where directed undertake the investigation/lead the investigation team.
* Undertake active occupational monitoring i.e., noise, vibration, COSHH etc. within the workplace.
* Carry out site/project/workshop's visits, inspections and compliance audits and monitor the closeout of non-conformances.
* Take part in third party audits.
* Act as Subject Matter Expert on areas of specific knowledge.
* Where required provide QHSSE performance data to the QHSSE Manager.
Who we're looking for:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. IEMA (Associate) or equivalent Environmental Qualification would be an advantage.
* Experience in a QHSE operational support role with relevant skills and experience within an Engineering work environment.
* A good understanding of ISO ‎9001, ISO ‎45001 and ISO ‎14001 management systems.
* Good command of the English language both written and spoken
* Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
