Purpose:
The post holder reports to the Country Finance Manager, is responsible for
reporting and analyzing data and to provide reliable and accurate reports in
addition to lead and control the intercompany process over the country in
addition to support sponsorship portfolio financially in Plan International
Egypt, maintaining internal financial control enhancement through monitoring
data accuracy in SAP System.
Dimensions of the Role:
This Role will be based in CO and will play a key role in integrating and
linking PIE various source of funds, through providing ad hoc analysis, PIE
financial statements analysis and maintaining the shared costs allocation at
PU level, in addition participate in annual budgeting setup and preparation in
terms of Operating and staffing budgets and budgets control as well.
This Role will require a strong communication inside and outside Egypt with CO
departments, Pus, GH, RH
This role has no direct reports.
Accountabilities and Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position
Review, consolidate the monthly Shared Costs process that performed at PU
level and prepare monthly reports to ensure that support staff salaries and
operating costs are recorded properly and associated to the relevant funding
source to maintain following cost recovery process. Develop and review
staffing proposed allocations on monthly basis at CO and PU level Confirm
salary allocations, general and management charges to each grant on a monthly
basis. Ensure both are in compliance with budget and grant funding parameters.
Strong participation in annual budgeting Process, through facilitating,
Reviewing and provide operating and staffing budget. Provide comprehensive
analysis at the annual budget preparation period to assess the current PIE
situation in terms of Operating needs, staffing against availability of budget
over sponsorship and grants funded projects Leading the budget process for
sponsorship projects. Provide Annual budgeting analysis to Management, Country
cost ratio, PUs Cost Ratio, and Annual budget breakdown. Monitor the grant and
sponsorship income received and prepare the fund reconciliation on regular
basis Review and sign Intercompany advances, requisition forms, payment
requests at PIE level. Leading and controlling all the intercompany process
with third parties outside the country Prepare intercompany/interoffice
accounts reconciliations on a weekly basis and explain all items and activity
contained within each account. Analyze, monitor, and resolve
intercompany/interoffice charge discrepancies related to intercompany journal
entries Monitor and report on Key balance sheet accounts. Facilitate and
coordinate the Annual Financial statements audit. Provide technical assistance
and training on corporate finance systems to all finance staff. Strong
participation in the month end process at PU and CO level. Complete SPAD
document with financial figures and ratios Manage Sponsorship Projects in
terms of financial aspects with a group of projects’ owners Provide various
Management and internal users reports for monitoring purposes. Report
Quarterly against sponsorship KPIs to Management. Prepare Staff Salaries
tracker on monthly basis over PIE to monitor and maintain the availability of
budget Prepare International Staff Payments, settlements and deposits. Prepare
monthly packs in coordination with CO finance team Perform a monthly check of
currency Revaluation transactions Advise management on all issues related to
IFRS implementation. Any Other related tasks.

Inclusion (GEI) Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under
Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC),
ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the
appropriate procedures. Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department
are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan
International’s safeguarding and GEI policies; Ensures that Plan
International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and
Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work. Ensures
that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to
ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and
data are submitted

Technical Expertise, Skills and Knowledge
Essential
A Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification such as CIS, ACCA or
equivalent
At least ‎5 years’ experience in similar role in NGOs
Analytical skills
Fluent in English
Strong Communication skills, appropriate to the audience
Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant accounting software packages
Solid experience in SAP
Strong problem-solving skills
Solid reporting and monitoring skills
Desirable
Experience with Ms Dynamic system
