To establish KIZAD Free Zone Operations as a preferred destination for FDI
investments in the region.
Working Relationship
Key Internal Contacts
* Work closely with internal departments within Kizad to facilitate customer friendly approach in implementing FZ Rules and Regulations.
* Establish a sponsorship regime to ensure that all employees receive adequate benefits and facilities under the Free Zone sponsorship.
Key External Contacts
* Establish a Free Zone Services and Facilities offered by similar setups in the region
* Responsible for Free Zone Operations by deploying seamless technology solutions, where possible and coordinating with Customs, Immigration Third Party Logistics providers, Ports, Airports, and other authorities as required.
Objectives and Role Profile
*
Registrar for all FZ companies in ADFZ
* Review and approve all registry transactions and ensure that all services related to the Registration and licensing are fulfilled.
* Establish a Free Zone licensing regime by entering into MoUs with the department of Economic Development and other Government entities as needed
* ensuring the effective implementation of legal requirements prior to any company incorporation, registry transactions, and registry amendments, including but not limited to managing the process of company registration, de-registration
* Ensuring the effective implementation of company registration regulation, company license regulation and employment regulation
* Issue licenses
* Prevent attempts to smuggle goods by enforcing a strict compliance regime
* Ensure collection of Permit Fees, Fines, and government fees.
Key Tasks and Performance Indicators

Enhance relationships with the government agencies to ensure that the
relationship is maintained
* Offer innovative services to customers enhancing revenue streams
* Develop Free Zone policies and procedures
* Involve the government representatives with the customer issues
* Update the fees and charges manual by adding new services as needed
* Handle all governmental correspondences related to the free zone
* Acquire the relevant documents for customers
* Ensure Company Registry efficiently
Qualifications/Experience/Competencies
*
5+ Years of Experience in a Free Zone / Special Economic Zone
* Experienced in licensing and permit requirements in Abu Dhabi for Free Zone companies
* Good interpersonal skills: ability to resolve conflicts
* Experienced to write correspondence and reports
* Fluent in Arabic and English
* Has a business degree
* Full command and knowledge of Free zone operations
* Familiarity with WTO guidelines and treaties to which UAE is a signatory to and International Best Practices for Free Zones.
