Summary:
The U.S. Mission in UAE is seeking an eligible and qualified applicant for the
position of a Administrative Clerk for COP28 in the Management Section.


The work schedule for this position is Full Time (‎40 hours per week)


Start date: Candidate to begin working within a reasonable period of time
within ‎06 weeks of receipt of agency authorization and/or
clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

COP28.


Duties


Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE
residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE national, the Mission assists
in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE. Ref. to
Eligibility Question #‎2 and Vacancy Question #‎1: If a non-UAE national has a
valid UAE residency visa, they should answer Yes to Eligibility Q#‎2 and
Vacancy Q#‎1, and attach a copy of residency visa or both sides of Emirates
ID.


Basic Function of the Position:


Under direct supervision from the Embassy Abu Dhabi COP28 Climate Conference
Coordinator or Management Lead, the incumbent performs clerical and
administrative duties associated with support of COP28. Serves as primary
administrative and logistics contact in the Management or Economic Office for
all things related to COP28, providing the full range of administrative,
logistical, and financial management support to the COP28 Coordinator or
Management Lead. This position also provides entry/exit and
logistical/administration support for TDY staff, and coordinates with Control
Officers on VIP visitors to the UAE for COP28. Answers phone calls and emails,
prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, schedules meetings
and manages calendars, obtains office supplies and services. Contributes to
"hot wash," best practices, SOPs, handbooks, and other written resources as
related to visits and events. This position is the unit's primary liaison to
the Embassy and Consulate Economic Office, Information Resource Management
Office, Financial Management Office, and General Services Office sections
(VIP/travel/procurement etc.). Employee performs other duties as assigned.


Note: "No Leave will be approved from November ‎01 to December ‎15, ‎2023 for
this Position."


Qualifications and Evaluations


Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Must have ‎2 years of progressively responsible experience working in an
administrative role or the service industry in an English-speaking consulate
or company.


Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.


Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: (This will be tested)
Level IV Fluent in Reading/Writing/Speaking in English is required.
