Summary:
The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties:
Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE residency
visa to fill the position. For non-UAE national, the Mission assists in
obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE. Ref. to
Eligibility Question #2 and Vacancy Question #1: If a non-UAE national has a
valid UAE residency visa, they should answer Yes to Eligibility Q#2 and
Vacancy Q#1, and attach a copy of residency visa or both sides of Emirates
ID.
Basic Function of the Position:
Assists Commercial Service officers and senior commercial staff in planning,
organizing, and implementing trade events, commercial services, industry
contacts outreach and market research projects for the United States
Department of Commerce (USDOC), United States and Foreign Commercial Service
(USFCS). Assists in the promotion of trade fairs (local, regional and in the
United States) events, trade missions and other export promotion activities.
Using market information and initial industry contacts provided by
supervisors, identifies and contacts appropriate decision makers in local
companies with the goal of making business matches for U.S. participating
firms. Conducts initial basic market research to fulfill trade information
requests from U.S. exporters and host-country importers. Provides follow-up
support for performance metrics data gathering and reporting. Manages day-to-
day administrative activities including business appointments, coordinating
communications with other sections at post, interfacing with local government
officials and private sector.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three (3) years of work experience in business, government, or
industry association in the field of administrative work, marketing, event
management, trade promotion is required.
Education Requirements:
Two years of general college or university studies is required.

Level IV Fluent in Reading/Writing/Speaking in English is required.
