Portfolio Manager

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Portfolio Manager to join our
team! In this role you will get to join a team which is currently expanding
and working to provide the Client with exceptional Project Management of their
portfolios.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Act as Portfolio Manager for overall coordination and management of one of three Portfolio Areas (Industrial / Residential & Buildings / Civil & Infrastructure).
* Managing and leveraging the lifecycle of initiatives, programs, projects, and outcomes to optimally achieve the Clients goals and objectives. nd
* Reporting on performance of their Portfolio to the Section Manager and Client Directors
* Responsible for ensuring scope, budgets and schedules are on track for their overall portfolio
* Provide help and guidance to the Project Managers
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (or related) subject obtained from a Western University.
* A minimum of ‎15 years of experience working within the field of Portfolio Management / Project Management with at least ‎5 years managing major capital projects. Experience will cover engineering, budgeting, planning, procurement, contracting and scheduling activities.
* Project Management Certified (PMI)
* Experience of technical integration as well as procurement and construction activities.
* Ability to perform the major activities in the job description while demonstrating evidence of the following:
* Past performance and growth within technical, fiscal, and management responsibilities within the Project Management & engineering field.
* Superior initiative, judgement, and ability required to assume the total Leadership of a complete Large-scale program.
* Recent experience at a Level commensurate with this classification.
* Personal characteristics which will enhance the client relationship While remaining an ambassador for the company.
* Proven ability to perform within a management capacity
* In-depth and strong knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required
* Candidate must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project
* Excellent spoken and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
* Incumbent must meet Parsons' Project Management certification requirements, when required.
