* PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Business Egypt Program is a five-year, USAID-funded program implemented by
DAI. Business Egypt aims to substantially increase sales revenues and
investments among Egyptian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and, by
so doing, create new job opportunities, especially for women and youth. The
project will co-invest with an ecosystem of institutions--business service
providers, business associations, supportive government institutions, and more
--to offer new products and services enabling MSMEs to better meet market
demand and increase their sales. Business Egypt's proposed sectors are--
renewable energy, information technology services, logistics and 2 additional
sectors TBD. The project will operate from offices in Cairo, Alexandria, and
Assiut.
2. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of BE HR and Operations Manager, the HR Specialist will
work on speeding up the process of recruitment of USAID BE project. The HR
Specialist supports the achievement of the project's goals, which includes
ensuring compliance with USAID's and DAI's human resources policies,
procedures, and regulations.
3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support in all types of recruitment of BE project.
* Liaise with the USAID BE management and assist them in the development of scopes of work (SOW) for their long and short-term technical assistance requirements.
* Expand recruitment channels and establish a consultants' pool; Assist in the creation of database for long-term positions.
* Support the HR Manager at the full-cycle recruitment process of long-term and short-term consultants, including drafting of SOWs, advertisement of vacancies, CVs' screening and shortlisting, scheduling and conducting interviews alongside checking candidate reference collecting documents for newly hired staff and consultants and entering employee data on DAI systems and making relevant updates.
* Assist HR Manager in the onboarding/orientation of new project hires.
* Liaise with the Operations Manager and Objectives leads to secure smooth workflow.
* Work on OneDrive to upload HR documents and regularly check status (files' audit).
* Assist HR Manager responding to staff questions and addressing their concerns.
* Assist HR Manager in providing orientation sessions to employees on their benefits provided, such as social and medical insurance, and facilitate the procedures for obtaining it.
* Perform other duties as assigned by HR Manager.
4. QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant major.
* Minimum of 6 years of experience of which at least 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience, with multinational organizations, or donors.
* USAID prior experience is a plus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluency in written and verbal Arabic and English.
* Solid analytical skills.
* Attention to detail is vital.
* Excellent record keeping and documentation skills.
* Excellent Microsoft Office Skills - MS Windows, Excel and Word.
