Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail
Banking and Wealth Management as well as Global Private Banking, to become one

our customers' needs.
This role is responsible for maintaining and growing profitable long-term
relationships with priority HSBC clients within the Kuwait market. This role
will deliver innovative high value solutions across all product lines, gaining
significant business and sustainable returns for banking and the wider Group
and provide leadership to teams to support and deliver client performance
against plan.
In this role , you will :
* Act as the licensed Senior Investment Advisor responsible to the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) as per the requirements of the Investment Advisor License;
* Lead a team of senior and junior Relationship Managers and Account Managers based locally in Kuwait and offshore in Switzerland.
* Drive the development of the Kuwait market by facilitating the setting up of the Private Bank's regional operating model on-shore, in collaboration with HSBC Bank Middle East
* Maintain 'Trusted Advisor' relationships and access at key decision maker levels for assigned clients, with a proactive and regular calling programme for key clients
* Co-ordinate origination and execution of activities across the spectrum of HSBC products and services;
* Drive achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment;
* Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality and requisite returns on risk
* Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector/country expertise as appropriate, working closely and proactively with other teams;
* Grow HSBC's share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements;
* Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, in particular the requirements of the CMA in relation to the Investment Advisor License;
* Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators;
* Lead the client management sector team to achieve the team's business objectives and ensure ongoing development of all team members;
* Actively promote, manage, train, develop and assess all members of the team within the assigned area of responsibility;
* Take ownership for arising issues that impact clients, leading others to resolve them and proactively seeking opportunities to deliver business improvements;
* Build and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
* Minimum 20 years of relationship management / Investment Advisory experience in the banking sector within UHNW MENA segment clients (ideally in the Kuwait market);
* Meet the Academic / professional qualifications as described in Appendix 3 of the Executive Bylaws, Module Five of the CMA.
* Complete and fulfil the CMA qualification requirements to become the registered Senior Investment Advisor;
* Demonstrated track record of leading a team of Relationship Managers
* Ability to define client specific strategies to achieve targets
* Decision maker, capable of providing judgment and clear direction within the established framework
* Able to strategize and prioritize work plans with strong business vision
* Team player who is able to frequently exchange ideas with other team members and colleagues
* Proven track record solving highly complex problems in order to deliver excellent client advice and service
* Strong leadership qualities with excellent analytical skills
* In depth knowledge of market trends specific to clients' businesses and industries
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Solutions driven work approach paired with entrepreneurial spirit
* Fluent in English and Arabic (knowledge of French is an advantage).
