Brief Description:
The Private market access Manager is a Business to Payer (B2P) position
charged with gaining and maintaining Reimbursement for the Lilly product
portfolio within private sector in Kuwait & Qatar . The Private Market access
manager will be responsible for
‎1- following up on the reimbursement process with private payer with special
focus on chain pharmacies across Kuwait & Qatar.
‎2- building business relationship with private payer customers (insurance
managers, RCM's managers, and preauthorization Managers) to understand and
address issues that impact private access to Lilly products throughout the
product lifecycle and in a long-term customer horizon (‎3-‎5 years).
‎3- working with internal Teams, Government Affairs, and field Sales teams to
ensure awareness of access Dynamics in the market, identify and coordinate to
solve issues impacting the proper utilization of Lilly products.
‎4- proactively leading the ongoing dialogue with local healthcare authorities,
executing on strategic partnerships with Insurance companies, and/or
healthcare providers
‎5- to execute market access strategies in private market accounts and pharmacy
chains and execute the defined activities supporting strategic
projects/products throughout their life cycle.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Chain Pharmacies
* Demonstrate collaborative communication skills to establish and run fair and strong business relationship.
* Exhibit deep knowledge of retail market in Kuwait & Qatar
* Understand, map and segment chain pharmacies, to identify key stakeholders in retail sector.
* Systematically plan and capture interactions with private payer customers .
* Identify, develop, and maintain business relationships with chain pharmacies management
* Build and implement chains pharmacies access & educational roadmap based on assigned portfolio
Prioritized Account Access
* Responsible for gaining and maintaining formulary access and reimbursement for Lilly products in top ‎10 private accounts, including:
* Establish Account Plans, accounts Archetypes including SWOT and opportunity plan, for each prioritized account
* Define and implement a quarterly access plan in accordance with affiliate priorities & business goals
* Establish key relationships within targeted accounts in order to identify and address customer explicit needs and to minimize unjustified rejection rates for Lilly products
* Equipping insurance managers in top ‎10 Kuwait & Qatar retail accounts with the needed product medical data to support HCP's/providers in their claims to insurance companies
* Develop and maintain robust understanding on the Kuwait and Qatar reimbursement ecosystem and assure all cross functional teams are fully aware and updated.
Insurance Companies
* Build strong partnerships with insurance companies in order to identify and address customer explicit needs and to minimize unjustified rejection rates for reimbursement of Lilly products.
* Advocate access to Lilly products with insurance companies by equipping them with the core value messages for Lilly products and leveraging on the health economic tools which will help them to understand the value on Lilly products and the impact on their budget.
* Partnering with Regulators and Authorities in raising the awareness of certain therapy areas where Lilly can add value. execute educational meetings/ touch points with preauthorization personnel in insurance companies to highlight the unmet need in the concerned therapy areas.
* Create awareness within Insurance companies in order to gain/maintain formulary access and reimbursement for Lilly products in Kuwait and Qatar retail accounts.
* Implement and deliver Payer Value Messages for Lilly products for insurance managers across Kuwait and Qatar retail accounts
Cross-functional Integration
* Coordinate and communicate account strategies and tactics with cross-functional Payer teams.
* Drive Lilly brand sales growth and appropriate utilization in validated accounts in conjunction with local sales teams.
* Address local market dynamics and trends in conjunction with appropriate Lilly colleagues.
* Act as the internal expert on local private Health Care Systems and their evolutions.
* Act as the channel of the voice of the private payer: ensure payer customer insights are well communicated internally.
Skills, Knowledge, & Qualifications
* Minimum of ‎4 years' experience in Sales or Account Management.
* Kuwait experience is preferred.
* Excellent implementation skills
* Strong communication skills (written and oral in local language and in English)
* Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
* Proven ability to thrive in complex selling situations.
* Solid understanding of the Kuwait and Qatar reimbursement model
* Understanding of principles in health economics
* Deep knowledge of local political dynamics, and deep knowledge of payer marketplace
