When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we'd be pretty surprised
if talabat didn't pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order
in Kuwait in 2004, we've grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.
Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other
products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region
with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over
27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept,
talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan,
Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!

we operate. Our #techforgood program allows our customers a safe and
convenient way to contribute to important causes in their community through
donating to local and international charities directly on talabat with a focus
on food insecurity in the region. Since its inception in 2020, we have
facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as
well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and
customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food
delivery and q-commerce.
Role Summary:
Provide the delivery of proactive and flexible HR services by providing
relevant and appropriate HR support to the Managing Director, managers and
employees in the UAE local team, whilst driving best practice and ensuring
compliance with all company procedure, policies and employment legislation.
What 's On Your Plate?
* Aim to constantly improve HR service delivery with excellent customer service by identifying challenges and recommending opportunities for improvements, consistently thinking outside of the box in terms of solutions
* Trusted Business Partner to the UAE Managing Director. Coach and support UAE local leadership team in identifying and managing HR interventions to improve business performance, to build initiatives and programs which drive the business agenda as aligned with the corporate strategy
* Act as a HR advisor, providing coaching and advice in HR related questions, policies, procedures and legislation
* Deliver ongoing HR projects and employee engagement activities
* Recommend, implement and update policies and integrated processes in order to ensure relevant HR services and consistent standards of employment
* Partner closely with the People Operations Centres of Excellence to drive the implementation of key HR processes and projects with the local UAE team
* Secure clean and trackable employee data using the HR systems to provide managers information and reporting on HR related data as required to support HR related decision making
* Utilize data for key insights with business
* Keep up to date on HR policies and procedures with relevant legislative changes and act as an expert in UAE labour law
What Did We Order?
* University degree or equivalent (preferably in Human Resources)
* Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience in the generalist field of HR. Last 2 years minimum on Managerial Level
* Multiple project handling experience
* English fluent (written and oral)
* MS-Office skills, Workday experience is advantageous
* Data analytics experience
* Professional, well-organised self-starter with enthusiasm and initiative
* Customer oriented, approachable and strong interpersonal skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. Uses tact and diplomacy to exchange information and address sensitive issues
* An excellent team player with a strong background in leading and coaching teams, able to challenge and influence stakeholders
