Summary:
The Manager - Facilities will manage the personnel and processes of the Campus
Safety Department. He/she will supervise campus compliance with safety
regulations by drafting policy and developing emergency action plans. This
position will be responsible for the long-term development of the department
in alignment with the strategic plan of the University.
Key Responsibilities:
‎1. Assign, supervise, and oversee the safety and maintenance staff, establish
and adjust work assignments to meet production schedules.
‎2. Inspect and identify safety/maintenance needs to develop innovative
solutions in alignment with the Department vision.
‎3. Perform and demonstrate the ability to manage and create work orders
through the Maintenance program.
‎4. Facility Manager has to make sure that all-encompassing category that
includes the building, premises and any equipment located in the University
are properly maintained and kept in good working order.
‎5. Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students, and off-
campus customers.
‎6. Maintain visibility and be available to customers, resolve customer
maintenance and safety related problems.
‎7. Direct maintenance staff in cleaning and maintaining assigned areas,
develop quality standards for implementation.
‎8. Maintain inventory order equipment and supplies.
‎9. Responsible for drafting and reviewing any necessary contracts as well as
preparing documentation or presentations on the work being done for
University.
‎10. Ensure that the work is completed on time and according to the contracted
agreement.
‎11. Prepare safety and maintenance reports.
‎12. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization 's policies and applicable laws.
‎13. Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.
‎14. Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying
them to everyday work.
‎15. Actively engage in University continuous improvement initiatives.
‎16. Facility Manager's responsibility is to manage operational costs. He /
She have to search out ways to cut costs while adequately maintaining the
business premises.
‎17. Create a budget for all expenditures from your department and work
throughout the year to keep costs within the budgeted amount, making
adjustments on an emergency basis.
‎18. Responsible to make sure that the business is budgeting effectively and
that every expenditure works toward creating a more efficient work
environment.
‎19. Performs related duties as assigned by the line manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor degree from a reputed University in Civil /Interior Design or related area. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Application.
- Minimum ‎5-‎8 years of experience in a supervisory with excellent
- Experience in a University or Real Estate is desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) is a must
- Excellent communication skills in English both spoken and written are mandatory.
- Knowledge of additional languages including Arabic is desirable.
