Job Purpose: To exercise operational control and supervision of flights at the
Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) to fulfil the legal requirements of
the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). To act as a close link between
the aircraft in-flight and the ground services, and between aircrew and other
third parties such as handling agents. Job Outline: - Analyse and determine
routes and flight altitudes for each EFTA multi-engine jet flight based on
economical, meteorological, safety and legal requirements. This includes,
analysing and negotiating User Preferred Routes on a tactical basis with the
relevant Air Traffic Control (ATC) organisations. Calculate and manage fuel
requirements for multi-engine jet flights based on economical, meteorological
and safety standards. - Ensure selection of take-off, destination and en-route
alternate airports for multi-engine jet flights as per legal and company
requirements. - Analyze and calculate take-off/landing performance for multi-
engine jet flights and prepare the Weight & Balance (W&B) documentation as per
legal and company requirements taking into account any Minimum Equipment Lists
(MEL) restrictions. - Assist and support the Pilot In Command (PIC)/Flight
Instructor (FI) on exercising the authority over initiating, conducting or
terminating a flight for single-engine & multi-engine aircraft types. -
Collate and sign the Dispatch Release for multi-engine jet flights as per the
legal and company requirements. - Prepare and file the ICAO Air Traffic
Services (ATS) Flight Plan for single-engine & multi-engine aircraft types. -
Ensure the Operational Flight Plan (OFP) and briefing documentation permits
and approvals included are provided to the multi-engine jet aircraft operating
crew. Liaise with the MET office as required. - Manage and where possible
avoid potential delays by negotiating Air Traffic Control (ATC) slots with the
respective Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP). - Handle the daily flight
operations to avoid potential disruptions to safeguard Safe On-Time
Performance (SOTP). - Monitor flights for single-engine & multi-engine
aircraft types through the available systems, assist and support the PIC as
far as practicable with particular attention to weather conditions at
destination, alternate and enroute airports. Initiate callout procedures as
part of the Emergency Response Procedures (ERP) when required.
Qualifications & Experience: Flight Operations Bachelors Degree/ Diploma is in
Aviation Management (Operations) or equivalent. GPA: 3.0+ ILETS: 6 and above
or EMSAT English 1400 or TOEFL 550 UAE Nationality (Passport & Khulasat Al
Qaid) Age between 21 - 26 Knowledge/skills: User level computer literacy:
