QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Job Purpose: Plan, develop and manage Departments Quality Assurance, IT and
Project teams for internal and external, 3rd party suppliers. Lead the
continuous improvement of a quality assurance (QA) system, ensure that a
robust audit programme is in place that manages compliance and supports
overall risk reduction. Job Outline: - Quality Control & Compliance: maintain
and develop the ISO & OHSAS standards and procedures for the department?s
extensive operations. Ensure that the QA auditors undertake regular reviews to
ensure quality, environment, health & safety policy, systems and procedures
are actively managed. - Lead corrective and preventive measures by
implementing best practices and by providing operational and strategic
business guidance to line departments and 3rd party suppliers on all matters
relating to quality control, quality assurance and the audit process. - Risk &
compliance management: Develop and implement a service excellence framework
that manages the department's business continuity planning (BCP?s), Accident
Response Planning (ARP) and maintain the department's operational risk
register, ensuring systematic and periodic testing of the department's
operational continuity plans and the readiness in managing all operational
risks with medium to severe impact. Undertake and analyse the results of all
tests including post-accident reviews, prepare recommendations to further
improve the responsiveness and risk reduction. - Safety management: In
conjunction with the Group Safety department establish a Safety Management
System (SMS) for Departments. Facilitate and lead CS line departments in
assessing safety hazards and risks and as necessary incorporate EK?s and
industry safety standards in to ways of working and 3rd party contracts and
SLA?s. - Continuous improvement / Change management: Manage and drive a
culture of continuous improvement, initiate and lead key business challenges,
new projects, including piloting trials for business change initiatives. -
Project & programme management: Accountable for the overall management,
maintenance and monitoring of departments Project Portfolio, provide project
governance and update senior management teams with the status of all projects.
- Influence project managers, Project Teams and process owners to adopt the
Quality Management System (QMS) into their work practices and to provide
consultancy and coaching of best practices. - Auditing: Manage a network of
auditors to conduct process audits, facilitate independent reviews, and
consolidate audit findings and present audit reports and recommendations. -
Stakeholder management: maintain and manage external Auditor relationships
ensuring that all audits are scheduled as per the external auditing guidelines
and that any non-compliances are managed to the right standard and within the
expected timeframes. - I.T. asset management: Ensure the effective utilization
and management of the department's IT assets, remove redundant equipment.
Support and develop the strategic direction: of all internal and external
vendor managed IT applications and systems ensuring optimal performance and
undertake system resilience testing through the department's continuity plans.
Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: - Degree or Honours (‎12+‎3 or
equivalent) - Degree in quality and safety audit management or Finance
Experience: - Facilities/Maintenance, Other. ‎8+ Years Knowledge/skills: -
Knowledge on Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO ‎14001 / OHSAS ‎18001. -
Excellent project management skills PMP ? Prince II Certified. - Establishing
and Implementing of ISO systems, processes and doing audits across multiple
business units. - Excellent influencing skills. - Strong verbal/written
communication skills
