Responsible for: (The main job activities)
* Being the focal point within the department for all relevant OHS&E issues.
* Communicating OHS&E matters advised to him from management through the line of communication within the department.
* Assist in the promotion of safe working practices & OHSE issues within the department.
* Assist in the promotion of all safety alerts from the Health &Safety Department and take part in Toolbox talks.
* In the event of a fire, other emergency, or drill, assume the role of emergency Coordinator / Fire warden.
* Inspection of job activities on board and workshop, update the existing risk assessments and develop new risk assessments for new activities.
* Safety, Quality and Environment Non conformity report raising / tracking and monitoring.
* Preparation of documents for the monthly internal HSEQ meeting and records keeping.1
* Raising near misses and maintaining records.
* Liaison and coordinate with Safety, Quality and Environment Departments regarding Safety, Quality and Environment issues.
* Investigation of accidents and incidents and reporting to the concerned personnel.
* Preparation of the department management program, maintaining records and statistics
* Maintain Training Need Analysis, Training Matrix, Statistics, and scheduling of training
* Maintain records of all activities for various Safety, Quality and Environment audits.
* Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
* Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
Preferred Competencies:
* Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
* Training in Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor / IOSH / HSEQ related Trainings
* Minimum 3 years of experience in similar field
