Analytics Portfolio Manager

Job Purpose: INTRODUCTION The dnata travel group which is made up of over ‎10
different travel brands globally, is looking for an experienced Analytics
Portfolio Manager to drive forward a data driven culture within our Middle
East brands and Global divisions.The dnata Travel group Business Intelligence
team comprises of three core functions, Data Engineering, Central Analytics
and Business Intelligence Delivery. This role leads the Business Intelligence
Delivery function managing Data and Analytics Product owners and analysts who
ensure that both the central and in brand/division analytics teams have access
to the data they require to drive profitable revenue growth through the use of
data and analytics. JOB PURPOSE The primary function of this job is to be the
central point of contact for a specific business area within the Emirates
Group, often covering several business departments, with regards to the full
spectrum of Enterprise Analytics (EA) services, i.e. Business Intelligence and
Data Science, and to serve as the main promoter of an analytics-driven
decision-making culture across the Enterprise. The job holder will develop and
improve internal analytics capabilities that optimize business outcomes,
reduce dependency on IT (self-service enablement and organisational analytics
maturity), implement data stewardship and deliver governed, semantically
modelled information assets through EG emerging Enterprise Data Platform
(EDP). JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS (MAXIMUM OF ‎10) -
Understand main business context and challenges of their clients and assigned
business areas and - Proactively advise how to address these with the help of
the full spectrum of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Science (DS)
capabilities. - Advise on analytics-enabled business change by actively
identifying areas for improvement within business lines and implementing
strategies that enhance business outcomes, e.g. revenue increase or cost
savings through operational efficiencies. - Develop a plan with business leads
that identifies analytical maturity/capability and implement multi-faceted
plan to advance knowledge, skills and capabilities within a business line. -
Management of all Analytics demand originating from the assigned business area
and translation into an actionable roadmap that aligns with the group strategy
of a single Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and associated semantic model for
business access: BI and DS delivery, Business Insight generation and self-
service enablement. - Capture annual strategy (for budgets), Quarterly
backlogs (for PIs) and business engagement (for features and sprints) in line
with Data & Analytics agile delivery methodology and deliver prioritised
outcomes within budget and quality guidelines as, e.g. agreed by the current
Data & Analytics Steering Committee or other suitable governance bodies. -
Management of backlog that channels multiple types of demand into various EA
delivery streams across BI, DS, ad-hoc business insight generation, training
and education. - Business metadata, like information matrix, semantic/logical
entity definitions and entity-relationships, business rules, business metrics
and (key) performance indicators as they arise in BI, etc. - Alignment with
Information Architecture regarding the consistency of logical entity-
relationships and entity definitions with the canonical object model managed
by this function. - Responsible for resolution of Data Quality (DQ) against
corporate Analytics deliverables issues for the assigned business domain, in
coordination with IT. - Support of assigned business domain with regards to
data source related root causes like lack of sufficient master or reference
data management.
