Job Description

industry in multiple jurisdictions.
As a Legal Executive at Deriv, you will have a deep understanding of the
pressure points, strategy, and objectives of our business. You will draft
contracts and advise on contractual issues and disputes. We look to you to
liaise with our regulators and advise us on regulatory matters, empowering us
to manage our legal risk profile with informed strategic decisions.
Your challenges
* Draft, update, and negotiate contracts and other key agreements and policies for Deriv companies in various jurisdictions.
* Provide accurate, relevant, and timely advice to the Deriv Group on a variety of legal topics, in particular, intellectual property rights, financial, and contract matters internationally.
* Keep the senior leadership team informed about any legal and regulatory changes that impact the Group and recommend necessary measures.
* Offer counsel on various legal issues to internal stakeholders, including employment legislation.
* Create and implement strategies for avoiding and resolving disputes.
* Stay updated on legislative and regulatory developments in the fintech industry; develop plans for the company to stay compliant with all applicable legal requirements in various jurisdictions.
Requirements
* University degree in law or a related field
* 5+ years of work experience
* Practical risk assessment skills
* Ability to provide data-oriented legal guidance
* Understanding of complex technological and financial systems and their interactions with law
* Excellent written and spoken English skills
