Leads, guides and develops the operational finance activities and team
to ensure delivery of value proposition to all customer segments through
on time and correct invoicing of jobs to customers, including internal
customers (ICBs) and correct and soft/hard close jobs on time within a
large Area or multiple smaller Areas with moderate to significant impact
on business results. Manages the operations financial processes so that
Area achieve their short- and long-term financial objectives, as set by
the overall regional business plan. May also be responsible for Business
Control and CM1 reporting and visibility.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
* Strengthen community within the Area with the aim to standardize which reports are used, how we go about controlling in the CSOs, etc.
* Subject Matter Expert on all FINOPS matters, meaning provide support to CSOs, Regional OPS manager/SMEs, liaise with CENFINOPS SME, etc.
* Drive FINOPS related controls and KPIs
•Own RICC from an operational view point in the region•Go-to person for CSOs
for CSO Optimization KPIs
* Ensure visibility and timely reporting of operations and operation finance processes
* Assist the product managers to improve operations finance processes and participate in identification of opportunities to improve operational systems (Damco FACT, FACT)
Required experience & skills
* Minimum 5 years of experience within logistics
* Preferably having worked +3 years in a CSO - and some/most of the time as a business controller
* Kewill, FACT and Business Warehouse knowledge is a must
* Good understanding of processes within CL/CCL is good advantage
* Experience with and flair for process mapping and documentation of processes (into SOPs/IOPs)
* Good level of knowledge of finance processes, preferably through hands on experience
* Natural coordinator and capable of making things happen with a big group of people across geographies
* Ambition to support a specialist network
* Quick learner
* Strong conceptual abilities - able to translate complex issues into ideas and actions
* Active listener and clear/concise when communication verbally and in writing (English)
* Proactive self-starter with a can-do-attitude
