Job Description:
Based at the Jazan City for Primary & Downstream Industries (JCPDI) Program
just north of Jazan City in the South West of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia
Parsons Limited are looking to recruit a Project Controls Specialist to be
based in the Project Management Department.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the primary responsibility of the
role is the planning, scheduling, progress forecasting and project
coordination on projects across the overall Program and performs a major role
reporting contractual responsibilities of JCPDI Contractors planning,
scheduling and progress performance - collecting, evaluating and forecasting
data as requested.
The project Controls Specialist will receive administrative direction on
assigned projects in terms of specific objectives from Manager of Projects
Management as well as the Project Controls Manager and will interface and
maintain a close relationship with Project Managers, Project Engineers and
Project Acceptance.
Major activities performed will include but not limited to:
* Develops and monitors project schedules depicting the sequence of events, dependencies, and interfaces with other projects
* Develops major milestone activities from the project schedules or PMD Department to monitor the operation of the work
* Develops and monitors pre-award schedules and assist in RFP review and bid evaluations
* Coordinates major milestone activities and established "major contract events"
* Reviews, analyzes and recommends approval or disapproval disposition of contractor's detailed schedules including manpower loading.
* Summarizes approved contractor detailed schedules
* Analyzes inputs and identifies areas where requirements are not being met. Identify potential contract changes and develops appropriate logic schedules
* Develops trends and forecasts on contract progress
* Provide input to Quarterly Progress Reports
* Prepare and schedule presentation materials as required by the Project Manager
Any successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong planning and
forecasting capability and advanced Primavera 6 capability. In addition, we
seek applicants with excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilize Excel and
Power BI to analytically demonstrate / communicate / report to the wider team.
Other qualifications / credentials / experience that are required include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* 10 years professional experience
* Strong 'technical' English fluency
