The opportunity
You will be responsible for leading and managing a project, or part thereof,
under the supervision of your line manager.
You will fully understand and comply with the project execution plan and
ensure that all relevant parties you lead and supervise also understand these
project targets in your day-to-day management of the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Recognising lead for projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes and define specific project controls methods, techniques and tools, ability in setting up effective project controls systems and procedures.
* Success in managing and cultivating defined client relationships and securing new work.
* Managing a team of professionals delivering projects controls services and is responsible for staff development.
* Devising strategies, alternatives, and recommendations for effective delivery solutions to meet client needs.
* Supporting senior management in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business development or alliance development projects.
* Persuading and influencing colleagues and developing internal connections that can help you.
* Identifying and evaluating business risks.
* Building and managing a high performing team.
* Very high political and cultural acuity.
* Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to a wide range of audiences in our industry.
* Spotting, developing and coaching talented people.
* Selling the business and winning work.
About you
You have excellent attention to detail and the ability to validate and check
project control inputs, recording and reports produced, providing basic
commentary and investigation You have the ability to manage activities with
significant uncertainty of solution or outcome; You are expertise in
implementation of EVM and total cost management and expert knowledge of
project controls tools and software (e.g. MS Project, PRA, portfolio software,
Primavera P6, acumen fuse).
You have a degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or
more specific disciplines in the programme, project or commercial management
disciplines and in addition to mandatory training courses. Working towards
Chartered/registered member of a relevant institution Accreditation from
recognised industry body (e.g APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE) and relevant CSCS
Card.
