Responsible for management of the entire Ambulance Services and participating
in the administration of emergency medical services to patients under the care
and responsibility of King Faisal Specilist Hospital and Research Centre.
1. Accountable for the management of the entire Ambulance Services and ensure
the proper level of patient care.
2. Works with Supervisor, Medical Director and Paramedic Clinical
Coordinator/EMT Instructor in all aspects of developemnt, implementation and
evaluation of educational programs as well as continuous quality improvement.
3. Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and operated. Ensures the
safe work practices are followed, lifting, etc. Ensures that all required
supplies and materials are present.
4. Reviews application for employment and communicates with local and
international recruitment partners to ensure best recommendations for hire.
5. Develops collaborative team practice models to ensure the best modalities
for patient care are followed. Follows and ensure Performance improvement
model and practices are explored and implemented to enable optimum patient
care and efficiency.
6. Assess emergency situations to determine the best course of action and
appropriate protocol.
7. Provides information and assistance to other departments on assigned
functions.
8. Responsible for the enforcement of all Personnel policies, and the
handling of disciplinary problems as required,.
9. Recommends, develops and implements policy changes relating to Ambluance
Services.
10. Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
11. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as
applicable.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Master 's or Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Health Services with an emphasis
in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is required.
Grade 11: Five (5) years of related experience including two (2) years in a
seniority position with Master 's or seven (7) years with Bachelor's Degree of
similar requirements is required.
Grade 12: Seven (7) years of related experience including four (4) years as a
Manager, Ambulance Services (Grade 11) with Master's or nine (9) years with
Bachelor's Degree is required.
Paramedic licensure from country of origin and the following qualifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and PHTLS.
