Monitor construction and maintenance of new and renovation projects and daily
maintenance of facilities of Al Sayer Group and Affiliates as per company
policies and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Operational:
1. Analyze the requirements of Business Units for construction, renovation of
existing projects as well as and maintenance of facilities and formulate
action plan/s to meet the requirements.
2. Invite quotations from the consultants for the new projects upon approval
from GM, C&M.
3. Review quotation and hand over relevant documents with recommendations to
GM, C&M for final review and approval.
4. Review drawing prepared by the consultant for design, specifications and
tender documents and report to GM, C&M for final discussion and approval.
5. Prepare layout/s, Review Bill of Quantity and invite quotations from
contractors for renovation projects upon approval upon approval from GM, C&M.
6. Invite tenders from the contracting companies, review tenders details upon
approval from GM, C&M and follow up on completion of work as per contract.
7. Monitor progress and follow up with contracting company during
construction phase by visiting sites and ensure completion of work as per time
schedule, safety standards and quality, arrange payments as per work progress,
add project to the maintenance schedule after expiry of contractor's guarantee
for maintenance.
8. Ensure completion of renovation work within the time schedule and as per
the safety standards and add project to the maintenance schedule after
completion.
9. Provide recommendations to enhance the safety standards at various sites
in order to contain any possible safety hazard/risk.
10. Attend to escalated site problems that might arise during the maintenance
and modification works and resolve them.
11. Review the customer feedback and provide recommendations to C&M
management in order to enhance the customer satisfaction.
12. Train technical staff at site office on Quality Management System.
People Management:
* Assign goals and objectives to staff and monitor achievement of team objectives/key performance indicators (KPIs) and counsel employees on achievement of targets and KPIs.
* Prepare performance planning (PP), conduct performance appraisal (PA) and PP/PA
* interviews including employee development plans and counsel employees on career progression opportunities.
* Make requisite attempts to handle all grievances raised by subordinates in a prompt and effective manner and escalate such matters to higher level when required.
* Recommend disciplinary action.
* Participate in interview panels for selection and promotion of staff.
* Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and presentations.
* Document and maintain records of activities and process workflows on internal communication portals.
* Adhere to Al-Sayer Group policies and health and safety regulations.
* Perform other duties as requested by management.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
* Primary: Bachelor Degree (12th Standard + 3 years or 4 years Engineering) or equivalent with 8 years of experience.
* Alternate: Diploma in Automobile/Electrical/ Mechanical (12th Standard + 2 or 3 years Diploma) or equivalent and 2 years of additional managerial experience
Linguistic Abilities: English and Arabic is a must.
