Overview
The main purpose of this role is to provide IT leadership in creating,
managing and maintaining IT 's strategic roadmap that spans 3 - 5 years i.e.
the next S curve of initiatives. This includes being responsible for leadering
internal and external stakeholders (e.g. IT ExCom) including global sectors,
corporate S&T and GBS in defining the IT strategy, KPIs and measures. This
role will drive program management and oversee risks and issues and create
mitigation plans to ensure the IT strategy is on track and per plan. The
person will engage with senior level members of the organization to review
impacts to plan including confidential information such as organization design
and financial considerations. This position will be a key leadership role in
the evolution of the IT Operating Model, ensuring capabilities and processes
are developed, executed and maintained.
In addition, this role leads the global coordination of all Global IT
employees of all Global IT Functions: Info Sec, S&T, ES, CTO, Sector roles at
a particular site: HYD, Cairo and Mexico City. The main purpose of the role is
to advance and develop talent, build current and future facing critical
business, organizational and individual capabilities and embed the PepsiCo
culture.
The role supports talent capability programs, leads the build of capability
strategy, partners with Global and Sector IT leaders to understand business
needs to provide future facing value-add capabilities and is the strategic
lead with local external partnerships to develop programs to support the
sourcing of critical talent for the success of all IT functional areas.
This position is the lead external face of global IT with external agencies,
advocating the Employee Value Proposition, developing strong ties with local
Universities, National Initiatives and developing local talent programs. In
addition, this position will identify skills and engagement requirements to IT
Sourcing strategies, key input into location, skills and resource augmentation
into teams.
The position is accountable for all facilities coordination and decisions with
PGRE.
Responsibilities
* Leads, manages and improves the execution and governance for IT 's strategic roadmap that includes details from global IT, sectors, GBS and corporate S&T and other stakeholders that input how IT will deliver value through the next S curve. The next S curve and the global program and initiatives that enable IT's vision over the next 3 to 5 years will drive how IT will support PepsiCo's growth objectives.
* Creates and maintains 10+ KPIs (such as people, financial and program) key to gain visibility into progress against the IT strategic roadmap. This can include program SLAs such as time to market and KPIs that include budget, people and program timelines.
* Uses 10+ KPIs drive changes into the strategic plan by working with key leaders such as IT ExCom to change the sequence of programs, look at opportunities to invest new technologies and providing visibility into the impact to the organization.
* Establishes a strong partnership with the key IT organizations (Enterprise Solutions, CTO, sector CIO orgs, GBS and Corporate S&T) at PepsiCo to drive continuous improvement in IT's strategic roadmap.
* Create a strategic framework of new requirements by working with key stakeolders across global IT, sectors, corporate S&T and GBS to develop a process for maintaining IT strategic roadmaps.
* Works with IT leaders to properly integrate and separate technologies and suppliers, ensuring success through all phases of project lifecycle.
* Monitors and ensures IT Controls compliance requirements are met, and risk remediated for Release, Change and Service Transition global processes.
* Works with IT executives to define overall IT performance metrics, and measures, tracks and reports execution levels.
* Defines the talent strategy for IT within the key centers (HYD-HBS, Cairo-CBS and Mexico City-MBS), identifying opportunities, challenges and defining the stragic imperatives to provide service excellence and cost efficiency.
* Key POC for the IT ExCom 's agenda: Working with all ExCom leaders to support their Digital Transformation agenda from MBS, HBS or CBS
* Define the Culture & Engagement strategy for IT within the locations, incl an assessment of the cultural enablers, identifying challenges and opportunities and define the plan for the PepsiCo Way.
* Define the Capability strategy for IT , define critical capabilities needed to achieve the IT vision, clarify scope of prioritized capabilities and ensure appropriate ownership for activation plans.
o Build an effective on-boarding experience that is driving engagement and
helps new hires get up to speed quickly.
o Drive more effective learning and better employee experiences by improving
the content for new hires and leveraging PepsiCo Learning & development
platforms.
o Support key managers in on-boarding into their leadership role and their
team.
o Support and Execute the Sourcing 2.0 strategy: key talent we build, borrow,
or buy to include partnering with key external vendors, MPSs, etc.
* Maintains an effective external network with other CPG companies to help benchmark and drive continuous improvements across the organization
* Employee Engagement : Accountable for managing the Employee Engagement Activities for all IT lcoation employees and launching initiatives that help to drive collaboration and celebration
* Talent Acquisition - Accountable for getting the best talent from the market and launching several channels like Intern, Campus programs, etc., for getting the best talent and managing the Campus Program end to end. In addition, the role is responsible for driving REJ at the site.
* Talent Management - Accountable for managing the employee talent management end to end: identifying the training needs, stretch assignment, critical expereinces and career pathways plus the execution of the training programs and certification
* Innovation Hub - Supporting the innovation team to drive the innovation activities
* Rewards and Recognition - Ensuring all teams feel inclusive of R&R
* AOP & Tech Hub Financial - Managing the Tech Hub financials in collaboration with the finance team
* Signatory Authority- responsible for signing all the contracts as per the defined matrix
* IT Compliance - leading IT compliance within MBS, HBS or CBS
* Onboarding - Supporting the onboarding of the new resources by taking the onboarding sessions.
* Responsible for maturing end to end ways of working where hub capabilities are leverage as part of a wider end to end solution
* Lead POC for Local Business Service : act as the single point of contact for GBS leadership
* Responsible for the management of direct and indirect reports.
Qualifications

Bachelor 's degree required
* Preferred candidate will have an MBA in Information Systems or equivalent certification(s).
* Successful candidate must possess 15+ years of information technology experience and the ability to assess impact changes to process and technology.
* 5+ years experience evaluating current and emerging IT trends and ability to translate external benchmarks into proposed strategic initaitves.Must possess at least 10+ years experience creating IT strategic roadmaps and plans and 10+ years working with Senior level IT roles, cross-functional teams including leading external consulting groups.
* Strong project management skills in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
* Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with senior level management
* Ability to understand IT and Business need, questions / challenges others to think through the problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans.
* Must possess a general understanding of the business architecture and process planning frameworks
* Solid understanding of IT organization functions, sectors, and strategic providers
* Solves highly complex, politically sensitive problems within and across teams
* Provides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers, resolving very difficult and sensitive issues effectively
* Experience managing a global development team required
* Strong management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent
* Strong financial management experience with proven ability to manage annual budget
* Relationship Management: Builds positive relationships with IT partners, understanding and influencing their needs, to align business and IT strategy and ensuring appropriate solutions are deployed
