Country Compliance Officer @Siemens Mobility - Egypt

Today, we are recruiting for Country Compliance Officer to Join Siemens
Mobility GmbH in Cairo office with main focus on High Speed Trains (HST)
Project. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a truly international

Mission:
Anticipate and manage risks and ensure the full CO System is implemented.
Support and advise the business goals by providing compliance related business
advice and assurance as well as anticipate risks. Ensure that the full
Compliance System in the respective area of responsibility.
Your area of responsibility:
* Responsible to define and to implement sustainably an Integration Strategy to ensure Compliance Assurance for the business of the SMO entity in Egypt, and HST project
* Overall Compliance Risk assessment (CRA) for the area of responsibility.
* Acting as trusted advisor of the Mobility managements of Egypt and HST Project on all Compliance / Data Privacy and Export Control related topics.
* Ensuring implementation of guidelines and regulations and execution of the Siemens operational Compliance Processes (as set force in the respective circulars, guidelines and processes as well as other documents if applicable) including Compliance/Export Control controls. And further on, if needed, ensuring local adaptation of such policies, processes and training or materials in order to effectively addressing local specific compliance risks.
* Compliance investigations and audits incl. signature of local clarification mandates - in alignment with LC CO Regulatory; and ensuring appropriate remediation measures taken, if applicable.
* Compliance reviews for Business Partners (BPs) / SPODOM events / LoA activities within the frame of hierarchies.
* Ensuring that regular Compliance updates for Management are conducted and resulted action items are tracked.
* Keeping himself/herself informed about important business issues by actively participating in management meetings and other communications related to the business operations in the country and HST project.
* Establish and maintain Compliance Ambassador plus /Export Control Associates and Data Privacy Advisors program within area of responsibility.
* Reporting Lines: functionally to Business Unit Compliance Officer, and disciplinarily to CEO of Siemens Mobility Egypt.
* Escalations to superiors or upper when the topics or circumstances warrant necessity.
* Responsibility for Compliance training and Communication on request, to foster integrity culture within the area of responsibility.
* Internal / external contacts with: e.g. SCM, Legal, People & Organization project teams, project managers, sales teams/managers, communication, IT, etc., external auditors, Business Partners (consortium partners, sales agents, customs agents etc.), main customers, main suppliers, law firms, shareholders, and other organizations or institutions, when required
Your qualifications - solid and appropriate
* Academic degree in law, business economics or similar fields.
* Demonstrated knowledge of legal, regulatory and governance functions; at least ‎5 years of experience in business - preferable in compliance related roles.
* Experience in risk assessment and strategic approach to risk mitigation.
* Understanding of the regulatory environment, including UK Bribery Act, FCPA, fraud and abuse statues, anti-corruption laws, data privacy laws, Export Control regimes and general compliance framework applicable to Mobility business.
* Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with multiple teams simultaneously and coordinating with multi-jurisdictional and multi-cultural environments.
* Excellent and detailed research and analytical skills (needed for preventive risk management, case management, due diligences).
* Deep, proven knowledge of Siemens Compliance System and Trade Compliance Rules is a plus.
* Strong presentation skills; ability to provide proper counselling and reporting to stakeholders on management level.
* Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in matrix organization.
* Be bold, decisive, and courageous: See the big-picture.
* Effective and constructive communication; Very good command of English.
* Knowledge of Arabic and German is a plus.
