Data and Insights Team Lead*
This is a vendor role at Wunderman Thompson dedicated to one of the largest
accounts in the IT industry. As the Data and Insights Team Lead you will:
* Lead a team of senior Data Analytics Specialists functionally by providing guidance, continuous coaching, mentoring and training to all team members, and disciplinarily with performance reviews, roadmaps, career development, upskilling, etc.
* Strike a bond with your team and help them achieve excellent results in the respective products, solutions, projects and assigned tasks
* Position and empower each of your team members as a trusted advisor on analytics and insights.
* Work closely with your main stakeholder, the Data and Insights Lead, on projects and ad-hoc requests to be executed by your team and work with the extended Marketing team to understand their needs
* Provide the client's top management useful, reliable and clear insights of data on which they can take decisions on in order to improve their strategy, processes and business
* Have a great understanding of the business and the client's needs to consult with your stakeholders and team members
* Be the technical expert for the team, providing leadership on analytics subjects covering databases (SQL), data cubes, data pipelines, data visualization (PowerBI), data modelling for BI dashboards, Data Science, and Insights
* Present results targeted to your audience leveraging your experience in communicating with upper management
* Have a clear understanding of the client's business goals and the ability to translate them into actionable project steps for the team
* Translate objectives into a project plan for your team, ensuring all client deadlines and deliverables are met in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest quality standards
* Translate business needs into practical analytics questions, exercising your expert knowledge/experience and lead your team to deliver practical solutions and bring positive impact
* Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making within the client organization
Desired Competencies/Skills:*
* Knowledge in three or more of the following fields: Statistics, Analytics Modelling, Data Visualization, Databases and Client Consulting
* Strong knowledge of SQL and Power BI are essential
* Experience with R or Python are strongly desired
* Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Superior Project Management, Communication, Organizational and Presentation skills

Required Experience:**
* Graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics, Engineering, Quantitative Economics or any related field
* At least eight years of project management and experience in Analytics, Data Science or Consulting
* At least three years in a managerial role
* Experience in Analytics Modelling techniques (regression, classification, clustering)
* Experience working in an Agile environment in Online Marketing or Digital Analytics
* Knowledge of running data analytics infrastructure is an advantage
* Experience in processing and analyzing marketing data, researching consumer behavior and exploring market trends and opportunities
* Experience working with Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for new client acquisition and transferring business needs into a technical solution is an advantage.
