Purchasing / Logistics / Supply Chain
Job Objective
Responsible for planning, directing and co-ordinating all logistics and
warehousing activities for Raw material, company consumables, equipment,
machinery spare parts and finished goods.
Essential Duties
* Manages the Logistics & Warehouse team.
* Develops and implements logistics policies and procedures
* Selects logistics suppliers and negotiates terms of contracts
* Responsible for controlling warehouse activities
* Ensures adequate supply levels and timely receipt of material for production and maximises inventory control.
* Responsible for transport, clearance of imported material, and warehousing either directly or through external forwarders.
* Responsible for effective handling of major import/export activities

* Manages the Logistics & warehouse budget
* Manages the Logistics & Warehouse team
Logistics :
* Develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with customs and excise regulations.
* Arranges for proper customs clearance to meet specified regulations
* Manages the drawback activities with the Customs Authorities
* Maintains close contact with customs and government officials
Warehouse :
* Controls warehouse activities
* Maintains inventory control system as per corporate guidelines
* Determine appropriate storage of materials/products
* Ensures appropriate supplies and stock levels are maintained to meet usage targets
* Maintains adequate stock levels and makes recommendations o reduce costs and improve quality
Reporting:
* Prepares reports as requested by corporate, e.g.: -

Education
University graduate, studies in Supply Chain is an asset
Experience
Min. 5 years experience in similar position in multinational, manufacturing
companies
Personal Qualifications
Strong management skills
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Strong Planning, & Problem Solving Skills
Language Skills
* Arabic (Local language) spoken: high written: high
* English spoken: Fluent written: excellent
Computer Skills
* MS Office
