Job Description:
Parsons is looking to hire a logistics manager on one of our large scale
projects in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities Include:
* Working as part of the Logistics Team - be the PMC lead on all traffic management matters.
* Working in conjunction with PMC designers and construction management, contribute to the planning of traffic management measures for major road works; notably the diversion of the main highway in the development and the works regarding flyovers, interchanges and roundabouts of this road.
* Review traffic management arrangements (temporary and permanent) that come from the design consultants.
* Review contractor traffic management plans, ensure adherence and report on noncompliance.
* Promote best practice on traffic management and road safety and elevate the standard of both with contractors and consultants.
* Assist with planning and traffic management of temporary site roads and temporary traffic diversions.
* Identify temporary works required for road safety. Working with PMC procurement develop a high-level scope of works for creation of a work order or contract for a contractor to execute.
* As part of the logistics team take an active role in management of service contractors e.g., general works / logistics / security contractors.
* Provide assistance to wider PMC team interfacing with NEOM road authorities, Ministry of Transport (M0T) etc.
* Take an active role on site to identify and overcome problems and issues.
Education and Experience
* 15 + years of traffic management experience.
* Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects in the middle east
* Proven leadership and management capability
* Safety Qualification / Awareness Training.
* Ability to manage and work in a team, deliver objectives and targets.
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Strong Contractor Management skills.
