POSITION OVERVIEW

• The logistics assistant reports to the logistics Supervisor


• The role of Logistics Assistant to assist the logistics department in all aspects of Import logistics activities. Ensure that all incoming shipments are intact and accurate, review shipment documentation, will be direct contact with third party logistics service providers & gave summary to the logistics manager. Monitor the shipping schedule of all the shipments & give alert in case any change.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Request & evaluate quotation related to incoming shipments.


• Update the PO's status on daily basis.


• Review the import shipping documents before sending to custom clearance agents.


• Monitor the shipping schedule of all the shipments & give alert in case any change.


• Ensure that the PO matching with the final shipping documents (quantity wise).


• Follow the daily reports from the freight forwarders to monitor the statues of the shipments under clearance.


• Follow up the shipments on the sea to keep the ETA updated.


• Review the freight forwarder invoices.


• Keep & record the Drawback related documents.


• Create & follow up form ‎4


• Ensure to send daily, weekly & period report in time.


• Organize files both manually & electronically.


• Keep & update the actual Avg cost for the different logistics services.


• Create shipment and shipment cost for shipments based on the moving avg.

  Minimum Requirements.

  
  


• Previous experience in factory logistics using ERP system.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)


• Experience with PC skills in Windows environment required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High educational degree.


• ‎3:5 years ' experience in similar position.


• Work with details, problem solve, and communicate problems


• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
