About the Role


We're looking for a People Partner for our Cairo Center of Excellence (COE),
to partner with the Site Leader and COE leadership team, to run the COE and to
be a trusted partner to the business, who has the ability to influence and
drive solutions at scale. You will provide support to our leadership team and
partner with HRBP(s) and COEs on various stages of the Employee lifecycle,
from talent management, performance management, onboarding/offboarding, and
business initiatives.
The ideal candidate is driven by data, organized, and passionate about
continually maturing processes and improving the Uber employee experience. A
successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt as new
priorities arise. Outstanding communication skills, time management, and
attention to detail are key attributes in this role.


What you will do:



  • Provide support to Managers and Leaders in the business: coaching on performance management, accommodations, business conduct, policies, and other HR-related topics

  • Be part of the COE Leadership team and support the delivery and enablement of any people-related programs and initiatives

  • Partner with your cross-functional teams on larger projects and organizational changes

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement of HR programs and processes, to improve the overall Employee and Manager experience and drive simplification

  • Provide support to the Cairo Centre of Excellence team during the performance review lifecycle by contributing to the talent reviews, talent assessment, and follow-ups

  • Enable and coach Leaders on the function-specific performance management program (P4P) and liaise with global teams to share feedback, enabling the continuous improvement of the program

  • Own and strengthen key partnerships on behalf of the team (with other People COEs: Benefits, ER, People Operations, People Systems, Analytics, HRBPs)

  • Be a change agent who can partner with HRBPs and business leaders to deploy regional and global initiatives

  • Complete processes and project work to maintain compliance in your region or function

  • Be a data driven champion, able to analyze data inputs, draw insights and present them to the Business and different stakeholders


What you will need:



  • Min ‎5 years of professional, related experience as an HR generalist, advisor, business partner, or project/program manager in the human resources field

  • Proficient in English and Arabic language (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of Egypt employment practices

  • Experience with coaching line Managers & peers on HR processes and supporting them in strengthening their leadership skills

  • Proven capability of providing Employees and Managers with HR consultations

  • Experience with driving positive solutions to advanced Employee escalations

  • Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve sophisticated and sensitive HR issues/problems

  • Proven effective partner management and collaboration with other teams to deliver a consistent employee experience

  • Exposure to Employee Relations and understanding of investigation processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong project management expertise

  • Workday experience is a plus
