1. Job Purpose
* The main purpose of the Collector job is to reduce DSO of the Company.
* Increase the AR performance ratio.
2. Principal Accountabilities
* Ensure a positive cash flow, collect unpaid customers debts and meet the collection target.
* Use computers and various automated tools to find and keep track of past-due accounts.
* Maintain a record of customers data and the progress of collection operations.
* Find customers and alert them to past-due debts via mail, phone, or in-person visits in order to request payment.
* Investigate payment delays both internally and outside until they are resolved.
* The capability to analyze, read, and reconcile customers' statements of accounts & Aging and extract from ERP.
* A basic knowledge of accounting.
* Effective email writing skills that adhere to accepted etiquette.
* Hold telephone or in-person meetings with customers to discuss debt and to find out the causes of overdue.
* Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, defaulted claims, or bounced checks.
* Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous duties such as answering correspondence and writing reports.
* Reach out to customers with unpaid debt and attempt to collect from them.
* Advise customers of default consequences and debt repayment policies.
* Record address changes, Update CR & VAT certificate.
* Report defaulted accounts to management.
* Report past due accounts to manager.
* Monitor slow moving accounts to identify offending debts and Report to Supervisor.
* Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.
