‎2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the job is to study the composition, structure, and other
physical aspects of the Earth, applying geological, physics, and mathematics
knowledge, and provide original and innovative solutions in exploration of
metals and minerals within the Geoscience discipline. This would include the
execution of grade control and resource evaluation programmes. The incumbent
will contribute as a Geologist in the execution of programmes and will
contribute to the compliance of health and safety in programmes in accordance
with statutory legal requirements and Ma'aden HS &E standards and procedures.

‎3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Qualification:
‎1. Bachelors Degree in Earth Science related discipline
‎2. Eligible for registration as a professional geologist
Experience:
‎1. ‎2 years' experience as Geologist
‎2. Experience in open pit and/or underground mine geology
Skills:
‎1. Understanding of health and safety risks and safe operating procedures
in operations [essential] in remote desert environment [desirable]
‎2. Senior first aid certificate [essential]
‎3. Demonstrable commitment to health and safety
‎4. Working knowledge of targeted mineral deposit types
‎5. Computer literacy in Office suites including MS Project and Team as well
as mining software e.g. Acquire, ArcGIS, ioGas, Leapfrog, Vulcan, MicroMine,
Surpac, Datamine
‎6. Competence in data management and QAQC
‎7. Knowledge of ore control practices and ability to implement best
industry standards if required
‎8. Business and Technical report writing
‎9. Understanding of the reporting of Mineral Resources in accordance with
JORC Code ‎2012 (desirable)
‎10. Resource estimation methodology
‎11. Verbal, written, analytical and influencing skills in English

resource, replenish ore reserve depletion and identified possible near mine
targets.
‎5. Involved in the ranking of near mine drilling targets and the strategic

‎7. Analyse, interpret and report programme results, data QAQC drilling
programmes
‎8. Evaluate near mine exploration targets including target ranking'
‎9. Provide technical advice to the Chief Geologist, Principal Geologist,
Geology Manager and Senior Director Geology, and direction to mine geologists,

‎10. Apply current industry best practice in grade control practices,
mapping, geological modelling, reconciliation and QAQC
